Official Sig of the Month Rules

Contest Rules **(All need to read)**

1. ) Absolutely NO plagiarism, If it happens it will result in an immediate infraction, and disqualification.

2. ) Signatures must be no larger than 600 px Wide x 144 px Length.

3. ) You may post a maximum of two signatures, but your post cannot be edited, meaning all posts need to have all sigs in one, or all in separate posts. (You may post all your sigs in one post so long as it's at the same time and not edited in, I want to make this fair for everyone.)

4. ) Make sure you read the theme every month, as it will have to follow that theme, if you don't your signature will be disqualified.

5. ) Winners will be picked out Via several methods, either by a Poll, yours truly and several more. Pay close attention to the Judging Method below to see what the months Judging will be like.

6. ) All signatures made prior or from past(present) contests from here or OTHER websites cannot be reused (that includes re-editing the same signature), you must start from scratch. Creativity is the key here. Reusing a signature will be cause for disqualification.

7. ) All signature entries are final the previous rule stating no editting posts is the reason these are final.

8. ) Users are allowed two chances, meaning if you get two disqualified signatures, you cannot participate in the remainder of that months contest.

9.) Prizes will VARY from time to time, the signature contest is JUST starting out so be patient, prizes will get better as more contests are held!

**Update** Due to users being from different countries, at this time Virtual Console Games cannot be given out as a prize.

Judging Methods Descriptions (How they work)

Judge- Of course that will be me. In future Contests, I may ask for assistant judges so keep an open mind on that. What I judge in criteria are layout, design elements, colour, text, layers and overall presentation. Keep these in mind when the judging method is me.

Poll- The community is involved in the decision of best signature in this method. All participants may vote, but not for their own. I can see who voted for what so don't try to pull a fast one on me. Also in case of a Tie, I will step in and judge the final winner.

Cross Judging/Poll- This method is done by me plus the WiiUsers.net community. What this method does is I choose out of all the signatures the best five or ten (Number of sigs may vary). Once I choose the signatures, the community takes over and decides the winner. Also in case of a Tie, I will step in and judge the final winner.

New Voting Rule

These new voting rules will be enforced, due to members voting unfairly. Members have not been looking at the actual graphic points and true graphical aspects of signatures. This new rule is taken into affect starting SOTM July Voting.

New Rule:

• If you wish to vote, you must post 3 reasons why you have chosen that signature. These reasons must be graphically orientated.

Examples of What To Post:

1. I have chosen to vote for _________ because their render doesn't take away from the signature and it blends in very well.
   
   
2. The text looks very well done and does not take attention away from the background and the rest of the signature.
   
   
3. The vectored background cooperates well with the render. It's obvious _________ spent a good amount of time on it.

Breaking the Rules

• If your reasons do not comply with the rules, your vote will be deleted. We want this contest to be fair for all members.
  
  
• You may only vote once, if your vote was deleted, you may not vote again.
  
  
• Please do not tell us: "I didn't know!", the rules are posted on voting threads or there will be a link to direct you to them.
