Custom Boxart Contest

I did this contest on a previous forum and it was very popular. Hopefully you guys will like it too!

Basically, you'll be given a game (real or made up) and you all can go away and make some custom boxart for it. Myself and two other judges will then select a winner who will be showered with praise and glory. Sounds tempting, does it not?

You can volunteer yourself as a judge, but be warned, it won't be easy due to this forum's incredibly high standards. I'll also only admit judges who I know well and have a strong artistic knowledge and experience.

And as a reward for your efforts? Take a gander at the prizes

1st Place - Award + 400 Exp. Pts
2nd Place - 200 Exp. Pts
3rd Place - 100 Exp. Pts

Some general guidelines for entrants: you can get a Wii box template here. You can enter as many designs as you like, but you'll have to select one to enter into the judgement round. Alternatively, you could visit VGBoxArt.com and get your cover made into a nice 3D image. It doesn't matter either way, we'll only judge the artwork itself. Obviously, you can use VG renders and stuff, but entries using uneditted artwork (excluding screenshots) will not be accepted. We reserve the right not to accept any entry (wow, how cool did that sound!).

Anyway, for the first contest, your game is New Super Mario Bros. Wii. You've got until the 11th of August.

You've shown a solid artistic mind, so I'll bear you in mind. I won't be dieciding just yet though.

Sorry, but you haven't represented yourself much on the art forums and haven't shown artistic knowledge. This isn't a first-come-first-serve thing. Thanks for applying though, and feel free to enter the contest.

As for Zerachial and Kr!sP, I look forward to seeing your entries!
Also, I forgot to mention, if you have a nice colour printer, you could even replace your genuine cover with these fanmade ones when NSMBW comes out! Wahey!

I was actually planning on contacting you to ask if you wanted to be a judge. I'll put you on, it's a no brainer.
