You should blame Nintendo for that. I heard it was their fault because of this. It would of been implemented without Nintendo's interference. Oh well.

I heard a few things regarding that. Honestly, it doesn't matter who you blame. Nothing will change so I wouldn't waste my time with it.

I'll be honest, the current gaming industry has way too many shooters right now and most shooters are overhyped (not sure about Modern Warfare2 though, huge fan), what the gaming industry is more fresh ideas like Godhand, Okami, Professor Layton, Phoenix Wright, or the recent Scribblenaughts (however the heck it's spelled)

You're right. Shooters ARE overhyped and I think the reason this one was payed so much attention is because the Wii is lacking on good multiplayer ones. I mean seriously, games like this come out almost everyone fricken day for the Xbox xD

I picked it up today and am enjoying it thus far.

I don't really care that it's like a lot of shooters before it, if it ain't broken; don't fix it.

True dat, the only shooter that I can still remember is Bioshock because of its unique story and extreme customization with your guns and plasmids... and now the sequel is coming out, making it feel more of the same old, same old....

The problem isn't with how broken shooters are, it's just that there are so many of them that it's getting stale to play them. Unless you have a wii, which then good FPS's are a rarity, especially ones with strong online support.

I can argue for XBOX 360/PS3/PC's for ages but also against them, so don't view this as bias, I'm a multi-console gamer
