Default XP vs Vista (why I ask in post)

Hello, members of WiiUsers. I have a question: which is better, Windows XP or Windows Vista? I know some of you know I use a Mac, well I'm asking because I'm going to run Parallels Desktop, which is an application which lets me, using my Core 2 Duo Processor, run virtually any operative system. The reason I also ask is because I know most of you have your own opinions, too, so I've added a poll. I've heard there really isn't a difference, just that Vista is the most upgraded version. Please, tell me what you think.

Windows Vista is not an upgrade. It's a COMPLETE revamp.

I suggest Windows XP. Windows Vista is a failed attempt at mimicking Mac. I've used Vista and XP before as well as my work place I am required to use both. Vista asks you a multititude of annoying questions which shouldn't need to be asked in order to install/open files.

PLUS if you want to print off a file somewhere else you need to print it from computer using VISTA. As it will not print from VISTA to XP. Where as XP can still print to computers using VISTA.

VISTA is set up so you can basically only use vista to vista. Which is annoying as hell as well.

Take my word for it XP is better.

Edit: I forgot to mention. XP is easier to navigate. In order to print a document using Vista you have to hit the windows button at the top left corner then hit print. rather than going to file/print. And File is already IN Vista.

Did I completely forget to mention...I HATE Vista? >.>

I have a vista and an xp. Ill choose XP any day. Some computer games such as Elder Scrolls Oblivion doesn't work on vista. Xp is more a gaming computer then vista. As you might know...This site is all gaming...XD

I have Vista Home Premium. I, perosnally, like it much better than XP. It has a sleeker design & some buttons that were unnecissarily big on XP are smaller in Vista to allow more room on your toolbars & such. Some icons are more recognizable than on XP. Overall, I think it just runs better than XP. & the Premium versions are much better than the regular. Premiums don't screw up your computer. ;D Well, that's my 2 cents.

You got a Core 2 Duo Processor? =O Mine is Pentium Dual Core. =\

Oh, yeah! I remember my dad telling me the same thing, that it's just to get Microsoft to sell better. That's why they're tryin to rush out Windows 7, too.

Microsoft = more failure than ever. Windows 7's security will be easy to hack if they release it the date by plan. It'll be super-easy to hack. Zune also sucks; remember that one time when they totally crashed and wouldn't get passed the loading screen? The 360 is also falling now, once again. That is the only thing keeping Mcrosoft up. Estimated, they will cease to exist in an amount of years, but you fanboys believe what you want.

Over, Microsoft = Epic Failure. In the 21st century, everything will turn.

You all know HP? They're trying to boost themselves up, too by creating their own operative system.

Vista was the main reason my laptop (before it broke completely) couldn't run properly. I couldn't use the Aero themes because they used up about 500MB of RAM or something really absurd, and loads of applications couldn't run on Vista.
However, my answer is neither XP nor Vista.
Windows 7 comes out soon and it looks to right all the wrongs of Vista, and has improved backward compatibility modules so XP programs will run fine. Hold out for that.

For those of you struggling with Windows on slow or old computers, get Ubuntu or another build of Linux. It's magic, it runs so fast and there are multiple utilities for using Windows programs.

Tis why I own a Mac. None of the above problems listed never has occurred with em .

People only give Vista a bad rep because they don't know how to run it.

You just need the proper hardware and it can be the best system around.

I know how to run it. I need to know in order to use it at work. I still utterly dislike it.
