lets start off with the new iTunes 10 free download, which you can download free today:
iTunes 10 comes with a main new feature, Ping. Ping is basically like a musical Twitter or Facebook, in a nutshell. You can follow your favorite artists, create your own profile, list the concerts you're attending, etc. I think this is a great feature to add onto iTunes, and gives people something more than just a music library now.
next, onto the MEGA iPod 4G updates and specs:
iPod Shuffle:
-smaller
-buttons added back
-VoiceOver, which now supports playlists, also.
iPod Nano:
- full touch-screen display
-smaller
-clip added on
-radio
-VoiceOver?, can't remember if there is or isn't.
iPod Touch:
-slimmer
-HD video recording
-frontside camera for FaceTime
-iOS 4.1 adds Game Center, a multiplayer hub for multiplayer games.
next, we have the new Apple TV, coming in 4 years after its predecessor:
the Apple TV hasn't been a very hot buy, mainly because of its price. $299 seems pretty big. But, Apple has gone around and asked the people who have bought it, and most love it. But what they said that they would like to see in the future is this:
-cut down on rental prices
-no full sync to iTunes
-Wifi capability
-and no hard drive management, along with a smaller size.
Apple did all of those things, plus added in some internet capabilities such as watching YouTube and logging into Flickr and stuff along those lines.
