Story:
Your village is experiencing some very strong earthquakes, and you are brought in to stop them. You'll have to fight your way through certain key quests to unlock urgent quests, which if you completed will raise your star level. Overall it’s a pretty weak story, but that’s not what Monster Hunter is about. 7/10
Controls:
The controls in Monster Hunter Tri are hard to use if you’re a beginner to this franchise and have a very steep learning curve. But after a while you’ll get the controls down and you’ll think that they’re pretty great.

8/10
Gameplay:
The gameplay is overall pretty good, and the visuals and animations are great as usual. You accept quests from the Guild and venture out to complete them. A new addition to the game is the new subquest system, you get extra supplies and rewards for completing subquests. Accepting quests is pretty bland, but the variety of monsters and quests is very satisfying along with the new ever changing event quests.
The upgrade system for armors and weapons is very deep, one of the deepest I’ve ever seen, you make armor and weapons primarily from ore, bones, and monster parts, going to the Blacksmith to make these items. 9.5/10
Graphics:
I have to say this is the best graphical game on the Wii including the detailed environments, and monsters that populate the world that is Monster Hunter Tri. The armor and weapons also have great detail. The clothes hair and character design is also very descriptive.

10/10
Music and Sound:
This game also great music and sound from the detail of the epic music when fighting a monster to the sound of a monster’s roar when chasing you down. Overall this game has very good sound overall.

9.5/10
Overall:
This game’s overall score is an 8.8. Has a steep learning curve but once you get the controls down it is one of the best games on the Wii. It is definitely not as good as the MH's for the PSP, but I still think it is a definite buy.
