I guess the goal is to help them figure out something, sometimes that involves giving the answer to them if it gives them a better understanding. There's really no other way to "help" with a history question whereas with a math question you could tell them what steps they need to take.

So cuz everyone seemed to miss my question (Or no one online is at Trig level yet @.@) I'm gonna post it again because I could use some assistance.

Here's the like synopsis of the section:

Let f(x)=3x^2 - x, g(x)= 4x - 2, and k(x)=|x+3|. Find the following.

btw the | | mean absolute value.

Um here are the questions that I have am given I don't understand what I have to find...

46. k(-4)

48. g(-0.5)

50. (now this is the one that confused me because I just assumed that we are trying to solve for x but this makes no sense) f(3) • k(3)

52. f(1)/g(1)

54. g(b)

56. g(-x)

this assignment is due tomorrow and the subject is Trigonometry.

Can anyone give me some pointers?

ok lets see here. i am really good in english, math, music, some science, some social studies, and a tiny bit of spanish. im in english honors and algebra 2 as a freshman. so those im pretty good at : )
