Default do i really need a micro projector?

i'm thinking about buying a micro projector to carry around with me when I bring my wii to other peoples' houses to play outside at barbeques and what not. do I really need one? anyone have experiencing using a projector and wii? i think this would be kind of a fun idea..

so far, i've narrowed it down to the dell m109s, the aaxa m1, and the 3m m150. can't decide totally yet.

To be honest I've never heard of such a thing, but it sounds logical. Unfortunately I don't know much about that but I would guess that you would plug the V/A cable into the projector and it would display it, much like a TV set. Just a guess, as I can't think of any other way it would work. Sounds like a cool idea tho.

Really, there isn't much use for one. Most people these days have big enough TVs, so a projector isn't really necessary. Now, if you wanted to play Brawl and project the match onto a big wall or something, that might be cool, but the picture quality will be knocked down.

i have a lot of friends that dont have tvs (college). I'm not looking for hd quality, but just something to have a little fun on. brawl would be sweet on a big wall ...hmmmmmmmmm

A projector sounds good, I mean if you are going to play or whatever in various places. If not, get a T.V., if you have the money.

i think i mentioned that it is for various places as a lot of people here don't have tvs (or share one tv per hallway).

I just ordered the m1. looks pretty sweet from the reviews I've read

oh, and video on the 360 - Gears of War 2 on aaxa m1 micro projector on Vimeo (this is what sold me)

This is obvious advertising but I'll allow it as it's pretty awesome.
