Holy shi*! That is an incredibly quantity of players online! Deaths left-and-right, not one second would be dull.

Nope. A lot like CoD, but apparently there's almost NO LAG to it, either. But I don't know if it has a campaign mode or if all the achievements are earned through online. There is also a squad system, and you can somewhat customize your own character. You also get experience for following your squad leader. And I don't remember how it works, but it at least divides the field up in half, so you're against at least 128 people.

Almost No lag, if only Nintendo would learn that lag is annoying, but oh well. Sounds very interesting, I would buy it.

If the game is a lot like COD then i'm turned off already. I dislike generic shooters like halo and COD. ;P

If I'm not mistaken, it's already out. I didn't hear about it's gameplay machanics, but I did hear that it's online only, can have up to 256 players in a single map, and will use the company's servers (the reason for the lag-less-ness). That could be wrong, though...here's a link. I didn't have the time to read it, but I'm not really interested in the game, so it kinda works out.

Yeah I heard that the game has no offline play and the story is based on what happens online.

It's more like Counter Strike.

The game does have 256 player battles but it's so slit up it's very unlikely to find every single player in a game. When you play the game you choose a faction to join out of 3 different militias; S.V.E.R., Valor, and Raven. You can customize your character and there are a good number of guns. Although each game has 256 people you get split up in two factions, then into platoons then into 4 person squads. There are a bunch of objectives and different ways to play. Parachute into the front lines, protect a satellite dish, infiltrate enemy bases, so on and so forth. Plenty of action, I don't have the game but a lot of my friends do...not sure if I want it.

I thought there was a fourth faction? And from what I remember, they were eight-person squads. And that's the thing; I never knew there was no campaign. See, most games need a good storyline along with a game. That's a bit disappointing, but what can you expect, when most people play over networking anyway?

I have way too many shooters...
The only shooter I'm willing to accept for online is Modern Warfare 2 (Mass Effect 2 seems more like a shooter, but I think I can forgive Bioware because they're awesome), but that's broken as... Well the US government, but I don't own a PS3 and I am skeptical of 256 players support on a console game. Still if there is not much lag then I say Zipper entertainment deserves praise, but once people start finding glitches, cheats, lag switches, etc. then it's going to decay like any other shooter. It's not that I hate the PS3, it's just that, I started with a wii, got bored of it and invested in an XBOX 360 (probably the worst name for a console ever) and I'm having a lot of fun with it, plus most of my friends own one so I didn't want to get a PS3 if I didn't have friends to play online with. The biggest problem is the economy itself, while it may be 300$ for a PS3, there is still going to be a lot more costs just to get a bluetooth headset to talk in MAG, games at 60$ a piece and other things that may arise. Rather than spending all that money, I just buy more games as most are multi-platform nowadays. Heck, sometimes I wish one company had a game console monopoly just so that every game can be found on that console. Don't get me wrong, I love all consoles, I just hate spending money.
