I have two primary set ups depending on how I feel.

My Assault set up is
Tar-21 w/ holographic
Akimbo Rangers
Semtex
Scavenger
Stopping Power
Commando

Killstreaks:
Predator Missle
Harrier Stirke
Pavelow

OR

If I feel like doing knife only(which I do a lot it's really fun)

Magnum w/ tac knife or Desert Eagle w/ no attatchments
Throw Knife
Marathon
Cold-Blooded
Ninja

Kill Streaks:
UAV
Counter-UAv
Predator Missle
(there's a difference between tac knife and regular, tac is a bit faster coming out and has less than half cool down time, but normal knife has side range as it swipes and a mini lunge if your running and knife someone on a straight away. No wher enear as big as Commando's though)
When doing knife only I play in Search and Destroy so high kill streaks are useless in most cases. Also I don't use commando and light weight not only because it's a jerk move but also because the pros in ninja and cold-blooded are amazing. No loud foot steps which really helps and people have literally looked at me and looked away becaus eI don't have a red name on me with cold-blooded.

I really don't like hardcore gametypes... or "hardcore" gaming in general...

I mainly play either Domination or Team deathmatch (with my friends mainly)
I use a tactical controller setup b/c well I don't use the knife a lot and I mainly snipe now(which I used to hate but I find it fun now)

Sniper Setup
Barrett .50 cal with FMJ(Great for one shot one kills) or WA2000/M21 EBR both with silencers(two shots for most kills-best with M21 EBR since it already takes 2 shots to kill already)
Ranger Akimbo(cheap as heck but useful for high pressure situations) or G18 akimbo or Silencer(the hip fire is surprisingly good for akimbo!)
Slight of Hand Pro (the faster ADS-aim down sights-is useful for run and gun snipers but not good for campers-best with both sniper rifle setups)
Stopping Power Pro(Maybe it's overkill but when one bullet is what stands between you and death, then the extra power is appreciated)
Ninja Pro(Hidden heartbeat is underappreciated and silenced footsteps are a plus for sneaking up on other snipers and campers)
Frag grenade(Cooking the grenades is much more useful than the semtek for me-without stopping power pro, you have to be lucky with it-it is surprisingly useful for assaulting the house in estate)
Stun Grenade(doesn't really matter but with stun, accidents aren't as bad-but the stun isn't useful in rushing)
Last Stand(death streaks are completely useless for me...I get them a lot and none of them are useful)

As anyone can see, this was made for noob tubing and is the cheapest setup ever... Not recommended unless you want to make someone mad.

The Thermal on the Rpd seems very ineffective but you spray bullets all over the general area, not efficient but it gets the job done fast. The grip helps a lot. The G18 bling makes you a force to be reckoned with in closed areas and when you really don't have time to reload the RPD as you just got jumped.

But every time I prestige I'll try something new so next prestige it'll be different.

But TehJeff, if you use magnum for long range shooting, why not just use fmj with it instead?
