This is here just so you can tell how your adventure is going in HG/SS. I got HG today.

I have caught 3 pokemon so far including my starter Totodile. the others are the same, a Mareep and a SHINY MAREEP!!!! I caught one an hour and thirty minutes into the game I was like NO FRICKIN WAY! But that's so far, I'm training one Mareep to help me with Falkner, and so I can have an Ampharos? later on.

I'm just getting into Ecruteak City and will be beating that (4th) gym soon. I've only really used two pokemon so far and they are Quilava lv. 27 and Golbat lv. 22 (just evolved Zubat).

And that is where I'm at right now.

I just made it into goldenrod and caught an abra.

It has been a while since I bought a game. So I thought I would buy HG, I just got it.

Much has happened today. I caught a SHINY DROWSY around 1:00 AM. I managed to evolve my 3 pokemon to their last avaliable form. I released the 3 legendary dogs and will go on a search to catch them later, right now, I'm not high enough of level to touch them. I beat Morty and Chuck, so now, I need to find the way to get to Jasmine in the lighthouse, so far, no dice. Even though I'm not able to catch it until I get to Blackthorn City, I'm hoping to catch a Skarmory.

Has anyone tried the pokewalker, it's an extremely nifty tool. You can get items and pokemon from it. not to mention when you return your pokemon from the pokewalker they increase by one level. I take it to work everyday, because it calculates the steps you take all day, and by the end of the day i transfer my pokemon to the ds with my items I got from the pokewalker as well as the pokemon i caught.

I just beat the 7th gym and now stopping Team rocket in the Goldenrod radio tower.

My team consists of Crobat lv 37 (evolved from Golbat at level 31 ) and Typhlosion lv 38.

I know I'm lacking in a real team aren't I.

I'm progressing quite rapidly O.o

even though I'm only 4 badges in my team is really benefitting from the time I've been spending siteseeing and exploring.

Let see, I swapped Quilava out for Magmar and then used a little diamond version lovin' to supply a Magmerizer. I also used my diamond version to help evolve my kadabra

Well, no your not, my 3 were around 35, 40 when I was there. Keep on going, you don't need a big team even late on in the game, mine defeated Team Rocket easily.

I beat Clair and went to the Dragon's Den to take the test to get the badge, I'm currently looking for my Skarmory, as well as getting apricots? to make custom pokeballs and going back around the Pokemon world to find all the other secrets needing HM's like strength, surf, and waterfall. I managed to catch Ho-Oh, but it wasn't easy, it was in the very low red and was paralyzed and it still took a while. I also managed to get Entei and Raikou to this, hopefully I'll be able to catch them soon. Before going to the E4, I'm going to max out my PokeDex from what pokemon I can get before fighting the E4, and evolving them. This'll also help me with my 3 remaining spots open for my team. Currently typing this post, I'm exploring more of the Ruins of Alph. Hopefully I'll find more rare candies than I already have. (3 I think)

NOTE: To all those who don't know, unlike in Gold and Silver, you have to wait until after passing the Dragon's Den test before you can get your respective pokemon in HG/SS because after you get out.
