Your Time-Line?

It's actually been confirmed that there is a sheet that has the Zelda time-line, at the moment apparently only 3 people at Nintendo get to see it, Miyamoto of course but not Iwata which surprises me.

Apparently Sky Ward Sword comes directly before OoT, which is odd, Since OoT usually starts the time line not including Zelda 1 what with Ganon.

So, make up your time line.

For the most part I agree, except people say that Minish Cap is the first because it's the first game to talk about a Hero that wasn't Link and involve a villain other than Ganon. Although that was probably due to the fact that Capcom made that game for Nintendo and just chose another name.

one theory, since there is some debate about Ocarina of Time's split eras (child and adult), because of Zelda sending back Link to his childhood:

Adult OoT Timeline:
(Adult) Ocarina of Time -> 1000(s) years later -> Wind Waker -> 1 year later -> Phantom Hourglass -> 100 years later -> Spirit Tracks

Child OoT Timeline:
(Child) Ocarina of time -> around 1 year later -> Majora's Mask -> 100 years later -> Twilight Princess

theory statements:

-Ocarina of Time is said to be the oldest of the games, but Skyward Sword is now supposed to happen beforehand, because the Skyward Sword is supposed to change into the Master Sword later.
-since Ocarina of Time's Seven Sages names' are the names of towns in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, I'm not sure if that's supposed to happen before or later than Ocarina of Time.
-and The Legend of Zelda happens before Zelda II.
-A Link To The Past is supposedly to happen after the original game, followed by Link's Awakening, which now throws me off, because it sounds to me like Link goes back in time (or is another Link), and seen is what looks like could be a variation the Master Sword and the Triforce Shield, as seen in Ocarina of Time, in both games, suggesting that it happened somewhere before or after Ocarina of Time.
- the Oracle of Ages/Seasons game seems to portray Link as a young adult, even if there was no timeline specified.
-Four Swords is claimed to be the "oldest", with Four Swords Adventures right after that. But, The Minish Cap is said to also take place before Four Swords

I wonder what Legend of Zelda XIV will be, and if that's the last one or another one or a few more in the series.

and let's say that there is a multiple Zeldas and Links in the series - I think they can't technically exist, because they could be related in any amount of ways.

A lot of people say that afte rOcarina of Time, the time Line splits down the middle branching off. While it would explain a lot I find it to be more of an excuse or quick fix because people can`t piece it together and want to just say well if it doesn't fit, here we`ll throw it over there.

However, one thing that I say disproves that theory is the fact that after OoT Link is sent back in time, I see it as a sort of start all over that never happened and there is no split. After ooT we can confirm Link goes to Termina, after Majora`s Mask there`s a saying in Zeldadom that those not Kokiri who get lost in the forest turn into Stalfos, Skull Kids are implied to be children who got lost. That`s why it`s called the Forbidden Forest. Since we can confirm link is not a Kokiri but rather a Hylian we can also say that after getting lost in the forest when returning from Termina he became a Stalfos which is hinted at being the Golden Wolf in Twilight Princess.

the only problem is this also explains Wind Waker which says Hyrule was flooded because the Hero had left(to go to Termina) but then the only question is how do Twilight Princess and Wind Waker fit, which one comes first and how do we connect them, or should we go the split time-line route.(Question mark key`s broken)

3 things to add;
-It`s confirmed that there are multiple Link`s as well that not every Link is a direct descendant of the next, I`m not sure if that means the blood line is so mixed up one cannot follow it back to the last Hero or if a child is chosen to be the next Hero.

-There is an official time-line that has been made so that creators can input games in between eachother, which connects the time-line moreso so it may be safe to say somethings are uncertain until Nintendo makes a new addition.

-I personally believe Zelda 1 is the first of the time Line(at least before OoT) because Ganondorf calls it the `Ancient Forbidden Magic`when he transforms into Ganon, which was simply the way Ganon was in the first game implying one came before the next.

whatever. Still too confusing. Nintendo should have some 2hr long explaination of the timeline, and explain why one part of this game ties into one part of that game.

And if it was, is any of the games timeline were originally to be part of the master-timeline?
