what do you do to get the stars by your id like 1 star 2 star 3 star

im meaning the stars by your name in online play do you have to reach a certian win total, a certian ranking or by getting all stars in off line play

the stars on yoru name depend on the ranking you get in 1 player grand prix,
if you get everything with one star, you get one star; same goes for 2 and 3

3 being the max

For 1 star, 1 star on all Grand Prix's
For 2 stars, get 2 stars on all Grand Prix's
For 3 stars, get 3 stars on all Grand Prix's
