You can get rid of that if you want, or mark it differently, so you don't get it confused.
I don't know my home Wii's number right now, but, I will look it up sometime later.

I forget to tell you how to get a boost at the beginning of the race.
During the countdown, once the 2 starts fading, press and hold the A button. You'll get a boost.
It's important to wait until it's fading though, otherwise you will spin out.
