This year is definently Nintendo's hardcore year with the Conduit just being released Tuesday, Grand Theft Auto being released earlier this year, and Dead Space Extraction later this year. Oh Wait! I forgot two! Remember that zombie shooting arcade style game, House of the Dead 2 &3 Return? And remember the chainsaw hand, humongous massacre and slughter making character Jack from Madworld. They were both great games. Yeah, I bet you didn't know it but Sega published it. Yes, the
Sonic Killing Sega company.
Yes, with Sonic being comepletely ran down into the ground, the best thing Sega could do right now is come up with a new franchise, or even better, make more M titles to go with their Wii exclusive of House of the Dead 2 & 3 return. Well in a recent interview Gary Dunn, the MD for European development for Sega, reveals that the company has more budget to invest in development, and declares that
"I wouldn't say it's game over for mature Wii titles from Sega".
When asked about the future, Dun replied
"We're taking a look at the resources we have now. We've got money to invest in development, we're just considering where to invest it next".
Hopefully it will be a great game because, well when they aren't running their Sonic franchise into the ground, they can make a pretty sweet game. I wonder what it'll be, Sonic zombie killing perhaps?:-o
