Default Problem with Metroid Prime 1 on Wii

Hello everyone. I have been googling like crazy for about an hour, trying to see if anyone else has this problem - with no luck. I have Metroid Prime 1 (for the Gamecube) and I can't seem to get it to work right on my Wii.

Here's my issue:

The game loads up fine, and accesses my old save game from the Gamecube memory card. Everything on my controller seems to work fine EXCEPT the right analog stick, preventing me from looking around.

I thought it was the controller, but I tried an official Nintendo controller, another 3rd party wired controller and a 3rd party wireless controller - all with the same issue.

I then tried out a couple of other games, and they have no issues. What's even stranger is that in Metroid Prime, the right analog stick works just fine for moving the map around in the map screen.

Is this a known issue? Is there any kind of fix for it? I know that Nintendo is releasing re-makes of Metroid Prime 1 and 2 for Wii, but I was kind of hoping to just play the one I own...

thanks for the help!

-travis

If I remember correctly you can't look around with the control stick. You have to hold in R or L then move the control stick around. Is that the kind of answer you're looking for?

EDIT: I got my right & left mixed up. XD The right analog stock (C-stick) changes your Arm Cannon weapons. Up is Plasma, Left is Wave, Right is Ice, & Down is.....I forget.

Umm. It depends. Either it's your Wii or your control is messed up. Have you changed the controls?
