As a GameStop employee, I recommend that you don't trade in your games there. Don't get me wrong, I love the place, but if you want to get a fair amount for your games and systems, then GameStop is not the place to go- you'll just be ripped off. You'll be getting around USD$0.60-$2.00 for your games, and very little for your systems. Last time I checked, I think the trade-in value for a GCN went down to $8 or $10, and the PS2 went down to $15-$20 (depending on your version).
What you should do is try Craigslist. You don't have to pay a seller's fee like you do on eBay, and you're likely to get a fair price for your old games. Either that, or try finding a large, local flea market with a gaming store. Those usually give you a good price, as will specialty/retro gaming stores. |

A bit tipsy

Anyway I figured gamestop wouldn't give ne anything for my cube, because they had them for like 40$ for sale with most games like only 1-2$ no joke. Though I figured I could get more for the PS2 because it's still popular. Anyway thank you for the advice, I'm definitely adding rep.

![]() To answer your question, yes and no. Craigslist is like eBay, only you don't pay a seller's fee when you list your item. Mind you, the layout is not pretty to look at, but navigation is pretty simple. You simply sign up and list your items, and they'll stay listed for a month. If you don't sell anything, rinse and repeat. You list your item by your location, but people from all around can view it, so you might be getting notifications from people far away. Make sure you list what form of payment you're looking for. As with any online selling store, be wary of being jipped. I would not recommend meeting anybody face-to-face, as I personally know somebody who was mugged at knifepoint when they went to sell their item. When I meet face-to-face, I make sure it's in a public area (a mall) and I have at least one or two people with me. Paypal is a safe form of payment if you're looking to be paid over the web, and that way you can get shipping set up. Make sure you price how much shipping is before you list anything so you have a good idea as to how much you should ask for your items. So... yeah. If you don't want to ship, you can always meet somebody locally. It's not like people are always getting mugged or anything, but that's definitely something that could happen, and you want to take that into consideration. Good luck!
