Megaman Battle Network(or Rockman.EXE)is by far the most badass gameboy RPG I`ve ever played other than pokemon. I started with 3 and played up until 5, got a little iffy on 5. I haven`t played the Star Force collection, but I do love those old games. I remembering getting up until the final Boss, Alpha which was annoying because you had to hit him 3 times in a row to do any damage, as well you had to defeat Bass beforehand and if you died you`d have to fight Bass again and again until Aplha went down. I recently went back and finished the game ecause I never did, I was stuck on Alpha, now a little older a little wiser, I bought the hell out of those weak, 8-hit tornado chips. Even with those Alpha was a bitch. I later found out I had inputted 72 hours on the dot into this game, so much exploration and different things to do, such a long ass story, I loved this series.

HELL YES! Finally, someone else who plays the Megaman Battle Network series on here besides me! I also played 3-5, but 6 also. I got pissed at 4, though. I don't remember what my 3rd double-soul was supposed to be, but at the 3rd tournament, I got pissed and quit. But my favorite was either 3 or 5. 3 for the story, and 5 also for the story, but also for the ability to fight with and use other navi's. The easiest one for me to finish was 6, Cybeast Falzar. It was the actual only one I beat. But, some of those boss battles are tediously hard.

The first one I picked up was Megaman Battle Network 2, and if any of you played it... You'd know that the Bass you fight before Gospel was a fake. In WWW Area you fight the real Bass, and he isn't aggresive, as he appears in the futher games only searching for a real battle. Then he disappears.

Great that you picked up the MBN3, I'd say that is the hardest. Damn V4 chips, you need Team Style and must defeat the navi in 20sec.. 20!!
I did play five, I did completely beat it. Too be honest, I didn't like it too much.
As for MBN6, I tried and I couldn't get into it.

Most hated boss... Sparkman! Grrrr.
