Ok, some tips:

1. Most importantly, NEVER save images as .JPG, save them as .PNG for best quality.

2. Put a 1 px. black border around userbars to make it look better.

3. Use this font: Visitor Font | dafont.com when using userbars.

4. Put a 1 px. black border around your text, to do this you:

Type the text.
Right click the text layer, select alpha to selection.
Without deselecting, make a new layer, and place it under the text layer.
Go to select > grow make sure it says 1 px. in the box.
fill the selection with black.
And your finished with text.
