Nintendo's enterprise has been successfully going because of the short plumber in the red hat. They have made many games using his name "Mario" in different genres of games. Having a regular man with no equipment can play sports, race and party. He has lots of characters who helped him become a success too; like Luigi, Peach and Bowser. Getting rid of Mario would hurt Nintendo's sales by a lot. The only games the would keep Nintendo in business are the Nintendo Wi-Fi games, the Pokemon games and the famous Zelda games. Sorry...this will never happen. Nintendo can't get another super-hero and especially if it's Link. Some people haven't heard of him unlike Mario. It would be really hard to make different genres of games with him and make additional characters. The wouldn't tell a Gamestop manager this information first-hand anyways. Hes probably just read something like this on the internet.
