Sensing his discomfort, Clarissa nodded.
"It's alright, there is no need to reveal your purpose to a stranger. Sometimes it is best to forget what you have heard."
She stood up and offered the cup back to him. "Thank you very much for the coffee, it was truly a pleasure." She touched her forefingers together and inclined her head as an old fashioned sign of respect. "I enjoyed our conversation, but I must rest tonight. If you will be staying at the Inn, I will see you again soon."
She made her way through the bar and to the staircase. Before she reached the top she looked back at all the customers. It had been an interesting night. The half-elf, the elven gentleman, and the young man who now owed her a debt... Yes, she would have hell to deal with now.
