You don't gain WiiPoints from the TP hack. But they are able to make channels and run foreign code. I thought I read somewhere that they could take the WiiWare channel off one machine and edit the code so it will run on another Wii... then use the TP hack to upload it and make a new channel.

Is that the jist of it?

I think the WiiWare is nice, but they need demo's bad. The 360 has demo's of ALL its games which makes it nice in 2 ways... you can spend hours playing demos BUT you can also find some really cool games that you might have passed on otherwise.

The whole "demo" thing works out best for everyone because not only do you get to play a game demo, but it encourages the game maker to make a better game. Also would increase sales because I'm afraid to buy any WiiWare with the fear of buying a dud.

Plus the pricing seems high. You can buy a FULL N64 game with similar graphics and controls for 1000 WiiPoints. I don't want to buy no WiiWare for 1500 that lasts a few hours and has no replay value.

Gimme a harddrive, and the ability to preview games by having demos... and we're set. I know I would buy ALOT more games knowing my investment will be worth it.
