FFXI is also another one of my favorites just because it's never ending. The way Square-Enix tied in what Final Fantasy is and made it a MMORPG is awesome. So I'm definitely loving it.

not 2 get off subject... but Square-Enix recently released a PC exclusive MMORPG that is FTP (free to play) with micro payemnts for extra fashionitems and items in general... if any one is interested in an MMORPG that has the FF party system and random battle sytem...
it also has the time based system, so the faster you are at inputting commands the more of an advantage you have, especialy in a PVP battle. (which ffrom what i saw in some vids... is AMAZING...)
