story of dark marth

"are you sure you want to do this, sir?" a red yoshi walked up behind a tall man, crouched over a stone pedastal. "Of course! and i dont need your help-" a large sword struck the yoshi, sending him flying."to complete it!" the sword fell over his shoulder, and he turned reaveling Ike, scowling angrily at the yoshi. "i..im sor...ry..." the Yoshi limped up, and ran out of the castle he had lead Ike to. "and for leading me here in the first place," he grinned."you can keep your life." Ike turned, and faced the pedastal on which something was to be put. ike shuffled around himself, then pulled out a dark ominous jem."with this... i will finally be able to kill my one and true enemy. Marth." Ike placed the jem in a slit opon the pedastal, and stood back. dark light illuminated from the jem, filling the room with shadows and dark rays. then it lifted, and dissapeared. a ruffle came from the back wall, and opened a small corridor. Ike walked in, and finally reached a narrow opening."here it is... the only person who can destroy marth. himself." Ike placed his sword on the ground and put both hands on a stone that jetted from the ground. the large stone turned black, and imploaded into red energy. from the darkness stood a figure..
it was Marth! "Rise from the depths of the darkness and here me, i commmand you
to-" "command me?" Marth spread out WINGS and brushed away the darkness, and it wasnt Marth. he was dark, with red eyes and a red sword... and other features but otherwise was as dark as possible. "im NOT controled by nobodies like you, Ike!!!" Dark Marth drew his sword, but Ike was able to pick his back up and defend. "yes, but i need you for something you and i both want... you want full control, dont you?" Ike grinned. " and as long as you agree to leave me out of it, ill leave the destruction to you." Dark Marth narrowed his eyes, but then made a amused reply. "so, you wish to toy with the powers of darkness do you? well if you beleive for a moment we are equal, then you will see what seperates the light..." he seathed his sword."...from the dark."



PART TWO: MARTH'S FRIEND

"if you think your going to get the best of me your mistaken!" Marth was holding his sword pointed at a person in a black shirt and red scarf. "Do we have to do this everyday, Marth? it gets boring after we get a close training match everyday!" Marth let out a laugh, and only shrugged. " true but how else am i going to beat you, eh Tega?" the pperson who was aparently called Tega sighed. "very well Marth, but after today can we do something else? like... maybe just a adventure?" Marth nodded."sure, but first lets get over with this training!" Tega unraveled his bandages and dark energy flew into him, transforming him into dark swordsman Tega! he took out a Red glowing sword and the two began to train their swordsmanship for another day of training."Ok, thats egnough, Tega." Marth seathed his sword and sat down."thanks a lot, Marth. i was getting curious about that person watching us in the bush over there." A gasp came from the bush, and Marth looked stunnned at it. "Come out, we know your there!" Marth stood back up and walked over to the bush. "Tega, i thought you said person! This is...A puffball with eyes and legs!" Tega came over and looked. he disarmed the darkness and turned back to normal dark mage Tega. "its a kirby! a little white and black one too! and look, is that..a note on his head?" Tega reached down and picked up the small peice of paper on its head. the kirby turned and was about to run, but Marth grabbed him before he started to run. "your not going anywhere, little puff!" the kirby looked disappointed and sat down."whoa, Marth you have to check out this note!" Tega handed the note to Marth who began to read it aloud." Great prince of Althia.." what? they didnt spell my land write! "keep reading, it gets weird!" Tega pointed to where he stopped. "ok fine... 'We need you to come forth with the power of light to destroy a new rising force of darkness over the land. Dark marth, a enigma created by Ike, has risen from the depths of emptiness to destroy you." Marth's eyes grew wide, and gasped. "de-destroy... me?!" Marth let the letter fall to the ground. "Tega... you have to help me, i dont want to be hunted down! Dark Marth... why does it seem i know this copy of me? i know he cant be me, im not dark at all." Tega nodded and was obviously as puzzled as Marth. " dont worry, Marth. im your friend so ill make sure dark marth wont find you, but how first of all? we dont even know where he is..." Marth nodded and started at the ground. moments passed untill he looked up. "tega.." Tega looked over to him. "yes, what is it?" Marth looked back down, and let go of the little kirby who was in his arms the whole time. "I...i... I know where dark Marth is."




PART 3: WHOS IN CHARGE

"I confirm you have sent the letter to Marth with that little kirby, yes?" Dark Marth let Ike to a small cave north of the temple on which he was awakened. He sat ina throne of dark power with Ike kneeling before him. "yes, I have. but what will the fate of the kirby be, Is he going to just be left there?" Dark Marth glared angrily at him. "of course! that kirby was weak, i took him captive because i never saw a kirby his color scheme. after i learned he had no power for me to control, i decided to let him work for me!" Ike nodded, and then asked, "so... we should begin preperations for your plan to be carried out correctly yes, sir?" Ike stood up and grabbed his sword. Dark Marth flew up and out of the cave, and Ike quickly followed. "yes... Now go to scorchino mountain and awake the great lord scorchino from his slumber with this." Dark Marth held out his hand and from it a red jewel grew from it. a black light imitated from the middle, with ruby-red covering. "this is the jewel of scorched darkness, with it only its power may revive the great dragon. " Ike looked up, shocked. "dragon?! scorchino...is a dragon? i thought he might of been a dark fire person, much like you are..." Seeing how Dark Marth was intrested in what words were going to come from his mouth. " ...are a Powerful dark swordsman from the element of pure darkness!" Dark Marth luckilly accepted his words as a compliment and looked to the east. "there, you travel the the peak of that mountain. there you will find a cave with lava all over it...as long as you hold with you the stone of scorched darkness, you will feel no pain from the heat. Once you reach a dark pool of magma in the back, throw the stone in... and then i will meet you there." Ike nodded at all of his words, and then headed for the mountain. during mid-step he stopped and turned to dark Marth. "why, Dark Marth, cant you go if your just going to show up after i complete the task?" Dark Marth let out a low laugh, and said to Ike, " I... have some old buisiness to attend to. dont worry, no big deal. now go, we cant waste any time!" Ike who still didnt trust his reply, turned and headed east, holding the stone of scorched darkness in his palm.




PART 4: TEGA AND MARTH DEPART

"so, if we travel to the old ruins well find him? but that miles from here, 100 at the least!"Tega was walking by Marth as the two went down the road. Trying to be 'secret' the little kirby was following them by ducking behind passing signs and bushes. "yes Tega, its the only place i know we will find a clue about what Dark Marth could be up to! The ruins has been home to a Dark presence forever, and know i think ive found out just what its harboring. Dark Marth." Tega stood silent but his expression could show he was understanding of the case. after a few more minutes of continuous walking, Tega stopped and turned. "you know, if you want to come with us you dont have to hide. guess, should we call you toasty?" Marth couldnt help but laugh at the thought of calling the puff toasty. "yes, ...toasty...he.., um its ok if you come with us. im sure we can find some way for you to help!" the little kirby peeked out from behind the bush, and walked up to tega and looked up. The kirby then jumped on tega's red scarf and began to..eat it? "um, toasty, that does not have a valuable source of fiber to let you know." tega pulled off the little puff and handed him to Marth. "hi, toasty! so are you going to come along with us or what?" Toasty jumped on the ground and squatted up and down.*nod* "im pretty sure thats a yes. well toasty, welcome to our little team!" tega made a smiling guesture from cloding his eyes. "well lets not waste anymore time, we have a lot of ground to cover and so little time!" Tega and Marth began to walk forward, but toasty didnt. "huh? arnt you coming toasty?" Toasty looked up in the sky, and seeing that Marth did to. "what is it, are you- what is that?! its coming right for us!" A yellow light was hurdling torwards them! "tega, look!" Once the light came closer toasty jumped up and got on top of it! "toasty, what are you doing!?" Tega examined it closer as it slowed and landed by them. it was a huge..star! "thats not anything dangorous Marth! its a warp star, transportation for kirbys! looks like we wont have to walk a long ways afterall. good thing we brought toasty along, huh?" Tega and Marth both got on the warpstar and traveled through the sky with there new friend, toasty!
