The Simpsons Game DS review

I'm bored, so here's a Simpsons Game DS mini review.

Gameplay: 2/5
Story: 4/5
Graphics: 3/5
Difficulty: 2/5
Audio: 3/5

Gameplay: The gameplay just wasnt good. The combo attacks, well, sucked. If you did the complete combo, you're guarranteed to take damage. The special moves werent to bad, but not creative. Homer, if has eaten food, can go into a fat ball, and if you jump and attack, you do a butt-bounce tecnique where you dont bounce up. You can do a dash when in ball form. Lisa's is Budha hand. But, you have to get to one first. You cant just do it like Homer with his ball. You can pick things and enemies up with it and later on, do a thunder attack. Bart's is a slingshot. In levels, you can get different items to slingshot in different levels, but if you run out of ammo, you have an unlimitted supply of rocks. Marge, you call people to help with a megaphone. It isnt the best. All it does, if there are in the area, is call people to help with various tasks.

Story: The story is what saved the game. It starts where Homer has a dream that he is in chocolate land. Then, Bart finds a manual for a Simpson's game (This same one). Later on, skipping unimportant things, aliens invade Springfield. They go to Professor Frink's house, only to learn that he was in an alternate world, where video games are made, ect. They have to save him from an ape who kidnapped him. Along the way, you see that there are some characters in there that should be familiar to you, such as DK, Mario, and Sonic. Then you get a manual on how to beat the game that they are in. They get rid of a few aliens, but cant get rid of all of them. So they go to Frinks house to various levels, trying to collect all the key cards, to get into Matt Groening's mansion. They get in there, Homer and Bart beat Some Futurama characters (Dr. Zoidberg and Bender) and Matt Groening tells them he cant stop the destruction of Springfield. Lisa then makes a stairway to Heaven to ask the Head Honcho of the world (God) for help. You have to beat His thumbs when he is playing his Nintendo DS. He stops the destruction of Springfield, and that's the game's story.

Difficulty: The game wasnt all that difficult. No lives count, and unlimited tries at a level. The levels themselves were easy. In fact, I got to the last level in one day (The day I got it.). So the difficulty-easy.

Audio: The audio wasnt too bad. The cut scenes were great with audio, except for the fact they were extremely quiet. The in-game sound was ok, but nothing special. In fact, you'd here the same thing a million times.

Overall: The game was nothing special. I would not reccomend it. The story was the only good thing about it.
Overall Score: 7/10
