Hello WiiUsers.net, It has come to our attention that there have been members who have only signed up just to promote their website. We agreed and decided that from now on if you wish to post a website on here, you must first be on here for more than a week, and have a decent amount of posts (No Spam!).

Why? Because we don't want members joining just to promote a website and never return. Posting websites includes clans, other forums etc.

We are doing this in order to keep people from just promoting a website and leaving, all members who have been here for a long time and have a decent amount of posts are not affected by this so don't worry. This will take effect immediately.

Any threads or posts linking to another website will immediately be deleted if you are a member just joining us and have not been here too long (or have a low post count)

Remember, all new members. Stay here for more than a week, have a decent amount of posts, then you may post your links to other places. Keep in mind that posting links must be kept appropriate.

I completely agree with that. In fact: I would go as far to say No web urls for any websites unless it's part or essential to a discussion, or a small, non Hyperlinked URL in one's signature.

Discussions like... a review by IGN would require the source page, and a link. That is where it's appropriate. :P

Anyway. Just my opinion.

Also, I think these kinds of announcements need to be LAC. (Locked after Creation). We really don't need people saying "I agree with you" just to get a post. We as members have to agree with any and all staff - forums are NOT democracies. They are dictatorship, and are run how the owner intends. :P

Seriously, the small posts in here are very...seedy if you will, no offense guys - but they are really not needed on an announcement of a rule. Rules are final, and I respect that - Administrating and running a site this big is a harsh job - I know.

I believe you are right, I guess I should of locked the thread. Good thinking WingedYoshi. I will lock this right away. However...as long as we know are members are true to this website, we feel it would be alright to post links to other clans and such. Which is why newcomers must prove it before they may post links.
