Introduction
"All the small things. Truth cares, truth brings!" Those are just some of the great lyrics in the song "All the small things" in this great game Guitar Hero On Tour. This is just one of the great features in theis game Guitar Hero On Tour.Guitar Hero On Tour (GHT) is probably one of the best music games for the DS.With so many features and different sort of styles this game is definitely a unique game. Developed by Vicarious Visions and Publish by RedOctane and Activision GHT was released on June 22nd. what really makes this game unique is the Guitar Grip made by Vicarious Visions and published and helped by nintendo. Now, today I will start out this review with the Gameplay part.
Gameplay
So practically for Gameplay and playing song you strum the notes while hitting them with your gripper and blowing into the mic. for star power. That is the brief explanation of playing a song.
Ok, with a lot of features with Gameplay GHT makes a pretty great game.Bascially GHT is broken up into 4 main parts which are Single Player, MultiPlayer, OPtions, and Credits. Out of all 4 of these main parts Single Player is broken into sub parts.Ok, first with Single Player Mode, the first part at the top is Career mode. Practically in career mode its the same as all of the other Guitar Hero games. You go around playing and getting money and moving and getting your band reputation. All of that good stuff.Next in Single Player Mode is Guitar Duels. Once again Guitar Hero Duels is practically just like the rest of the guitar Hero games, you battle your opponents with items, but instead of tilting your guitar to use the items, you have to drag your items to the opponents circle and your opponents can do the same to you. That is the only difference that their is in Guitar Duels. After that the next thing that you can do in Single Player mode is Quickplay. In quickplay all you do is play songs for fun just for fun.Ok, after Quickplay mode their is Practice mode. This is a very unique feature that I like. In this mode you can practice songs without failing. Like say your having a hard time with a song on hard mode, then you could go to practice mode and practice and practice it until you finally got it and were able to complete it.Ok, finally the last mode in Single Player mode is tutorial. In this mode they just simply show you how to play GHT. Nothing special really for that mode.
Ok, now its time to explain multiplayer mode. Now be reminded that multiplayer mode isn't wifi. It's just regular multiplayer, like to verse someone right next to you in a duel or match. In multiplayer mode you can verse up to 2 people either hosting a match or joining a match.Ok, now time for options mode. In options mode all you do is clarify your settings such as you can clear global data if you want or you can set your audio options or your mic sensitivity which mic sensitivity is star power and you can either choose left flip or color flip for certain Guitar Hero multiplayer events. Ok now the last mode in Gameplay is credits. All you do in credits is see the credits of the people who helped out, were in , made the game, etc.
Gameplay:4/5
Graphics
The graphics are pretty good in GHT. Theirs not really that much to say about them.except that they are very colorful and pretty descreptive, with great lighting and darkness. So overall I would say pretty good graphics. The graphics are great especially coming from a Nintendo and Vicarious Visions and Red Octane game.
Graphics:4/5
Music/Sound
The music/sound in GHT is amazing. Very great, but of course it would be. Guitar hero has always had great songs, great sounds in the background, awesoem lyrics, amazing fan noises, even great when you screw up on a note. Amazing effects with sound to even make everything sound better, and greater impact on sound when the song gets hotter and wilder.
Music/Sound:5/5
Replay Value
GHT has some pretty good replay value. Wifi is not really an aspect that reduces the replay value of this game that much even though I wish they had it.The Replay value is great because even after you do beat everything you can try to beat it faster and beat story mode faster, and verse your friends more and really show them your skills. Like they say practice makes perfect, like say you beat hard mode storymode, then you can try hard afterward after beating one mode to beat another mode. Plus, also who knows, you might beat some record if you try hard enough and practices hard enough. Once again I think that the replay value in this game is awesome. It's always fun beating a song, right after you've still beaten everyhting.
Replay Value:4/5
ConclusionFinally after all of this the Guitar Hero Franchise has made a new evolution in their series. Which now adding Guitar Hero to the DS which was very creative and in my opinion a great idea.GHT has great gameplay, awesome Replay value, of course awesome songs/music and great graphics. I personally hope they make another Guitar Hero game for the DS and I believe that they will. They are making a lot of new products to the Guitar Hero franchise along with this one such as Guiitar Hero World Tour, Guitar Hero Metallica, Guitar Hero Aerosmith and more. They made a creative way with the grip and gameplay and those kind of features for the Ds, and now who knows what they will make Guitar Hero for next.
