None of the threads you have made were failed attempts, you just are promoting them at the wrong time.
This site was booming back around the time Brawl was released, but now it seems its dying to the state it once was back in October when I first joined.
Just wait and see what happens, seeing as that is the only thing we as members can do.

I think I have the best profile mainly because of my profile picture. I tried to customize it a little bit.
Hey are we allowed to edit our profiles if we're in this thing? Because I'm trying to give mine a little "profile makeover".

I have a good Profile on wiiusers.net, because all the colors blend nicely, and are all warm colors. I think I would be accustomed to this contest.
