Halo over metle gear solid, Halo has good gameplay and metle gear solid has cutscenes...... lots... and lots.... of cut scenes.

Well, this is going to based from biased opinion, and quite francally may cause some flame wars to commence.
Metal Gear Solid has been running way longer than Halo 3, and is now reaching a close, and Halo is not original, at least saying after the first one was released.
They all seem to have the same goal: Kill aliens, reach checkpoints, find Halo. Metal Gear may have cutscenes, but Halo has its many share of cutscenes also.
From a player that has played both franchises through and through, your overall best pick would be Metal Gear, and with Metal Gear online it will increase its replay value.
Halo is good, don't read me wrong, but Metal Gear stands so much taller than a 3 game alien-shooter Franchise, in my opinion..

halo was always a good game, problem was that they all had the same game play with barely anything added in a sequel. the story for halo was good, but it didn't have much in it, something about a halo? (sorry, didn't follow the story) i never really bothered with the story for halo cause well it didn't look like it had much of a story at all.
metal gear has been going for a long time and with good reason, this also allowed it to have one of the best stories in gaming history, its even better then most movies at time.
metal gear always had better more fun story wise over halo, halo was great in the multiplayer mode but now that metal gear has an amazing multiplayer mode... well i'd say halo would be a waste of money (sorry halo fans) but metal gear now talks in the multiplayer and single play modes.

MGS FTW! I'll say this, most FPS is basicly shoot em up with little strategy than sniper cover me and on(especially online). MG online has more in depth strategies online though, take a look at the man launching catapault in mgo, that adds lots of strageties and besides traps in mgo has more stragety than the standard fos grenades. Mgo has all the dirty magazines and the stealth action of single player mgs mixed with standard fps action that results in an unbeatable package. (halo felt like every other fps I played  )

yea,it's basicly what you like
halo is more mulitplayer
MGS is more 1p
but i personally like halo much more :3

Well personally I say don't get either, and get Call of Duty 4. I know for a fact, that is the best FPS I've seen.. I say screw the old man, and Master chief =3

Yes its the best FPS, but it is stupid that you can't play 2-4 person online with COD4....
