Yeah ours is kinda like that, if there is an intruder they make some announcement with an obviously fake name using a color to use for the signal, we lock the doors and the students get on the ground by the wall away from any windows. I can see the whole not going out the window though since they may not be sure if the person is inside the building or outside the building and if you go out the window you might run smack into the attacker.

in my school a person also threatened another person with a knife. They had it out an they were making motions at people with it. He got expelled.

Another person took a lead mechanical pencil and stabbed someone in the back. The piece of lead was stuck in his back. He was rushed to the hospital and the stabber was suspended for ONLY 2 DAYS!

I have to ask you, was the person that stabbed the student a regular student, or a student that is in special education?

he was a normal student. He is actually pretty smart too. He is REALLY rascist though. He makes any rascist comments at ANYONE. So one day someone called him "Emperor." And he got mad because it was rascist. Ironic eh? So he decided to stab the person.

Wow, racism is enough to get suspended, but this kid should not be suspended but expelled. The only reasonable explanation I can think for the short suspension would be the kid explained that the kid made a racist remark to him and he snapped or that the school feels that a pencil is not using a weapon. Either way the school is really wrong on this.

theres one or two "gangs" in my school if you can even call them that...They would probably hold a weapon backwards if they got their hands on one. The kids are so pathetic, they think their skateboards make them gods....Its really sad actually, because they try to act really tough and its soooo hard not to laugh.

And I'm not trying to make a joke about this topic, because it is serious, just not important in my tiny school where the population of my town is around 2000 people....

my school has about 4,500 kids. So we have a lot of bad kids :\

my school is only 7-12.

and bgrugby, you are definatly right. That kid SHOULD have been expelled. That's what everyone was expecting, but the school made a terrible decision.

Remember it does not matter how small or how large your school is. In 2006, a one room school house that was used to teach Amish girls ages 6-13 was attacked by a gunman who killed 5 girls (including himself). So just because your school is small (as mine is) does not mean you are safe.
