thats a good point...It just seems less likely for me, because there is almost no violence around me, but you're right you never know.

I'm scared of these shootings as sadly i've been having dreams lately of shooting's happening at my school....My neighborhood is known for gang activity, violence, and drugs. Many people i hang out with don't do this crap or hang out with anyone that's bad. Especially me i hate fighting but i only fight to protect myself rarely though since i get respect. I have not have threats in my facility but lots of gang activity has been going on over the past few months. It kind of scares me too that were the biggest high school in the nation....=/

the school i go to is connected to the high school. in the high school, someone wrote a hitlist on the bathroom stall door. they got caught, but i don't think they got in too much trouble.

Ok I am going to offer some advice here now because many of you know of people that could be violent or groups that could cause violence.

You need to report it...and I am not kidding. If someone says something like "I could kill those people" or see gangs hanging around a school. You need to report it. You (and I mean those that are students) should not feel like their safety is an issue. Your safety is a MUST. All of you that feel unsafe in your schools, I advise you to talk to your school administration immediately. You need to address the problems to them, otherwise nothing changes. And if they do nothing then warn them about what can happen, and tell them there needs to be consequences. Trust me those morons will respond when you bring something up that can affect them. School administrators only care for one thing...test scores. But if you put the blame on them for school violence, they will react. And if they do not then give me their phone number because I will give them a few words of my wisdom and put them in their pathetic place.

yes its true that school are really unsafe nowadays. last year my school was put in a lockdown because two men were shot right outside the front gate. It was scary to me because he was never caught and my house was literally one house behind the place where the victims were shot. but even though they didnt know where the shooter was they only locked us in the gym and classrooms for an hour and then let us out into the open campus. My school is a very likely place for someone to hide because the campus is pretty big, but there were barely any security measures in place that day.

If one licensed , responsible gun-owner with a concealed weapon's permit were in any of those classrooms, the ending would have been different.

These guys come into schools because they know that its illegal to have guns there. Maybe if they thought someone might shoot them before they got off multiple shots, thus ruining their meyhem, they might not choose to do this.

I know people don't like guns, but can anyone name a person with a concealed weapons' permit that did something like this....

Well I believe the closest I have ever come to anything to a threat at school would be a bomb threat my eight grade year at my middle school. It was written in a bathroom stall that said "BOOM! last day of school" I'm starting to see a connection between bathroom stalls and pranks. Well anyways students weren't aloud to bring backpacks, and the 8th grade class was on a field trip do to there graduation from middle school but yeah pretty much it was a prank.
