I would love Earthbound to be brought to the Wii as a platformer. Kid Icarus would be nifty as well. Hopefully with both of these characters in Brawl their popularity will gain them more attention and in turn a revitalization in a new game.

On the flipside. What franchise do you think has had its run and needs to be put to rest? Im going to say Sonic the Hedgehog. The old games were great but all this new crap is, just that, crap. Nothing will compare to what was done with Sonic on Genesis.

I think sonic should be revitalized..Back in the old days, it and mario were almost on an even plane, but now, its not even close. The franchise still has potential though!

Sonic is still going so it can't be revitalized. Sonic needs to go away for awhile so the creators can come up with a new plan so the games don't take shelf space from games that need it. I wish Sonic hadn't become what it is now either, it is quite unfortunate.

the old mario sports games (I don't count strikers) like tennis and golf

I guess this thread could go a step further and ask: What would you change about a franchise? Such as Sonic. I would make it a sidescroller again, much like New Super Mario Brothers.

I would also like to see Pokemon on the home console so that its features could be expanded and their could be a larger RPG element where you could be a ranger, trainer, whatever. Its been the same ever since the gameboy games. Time to upgrade Nintendo.

I would love to see Kid Icarus come back, oh and the Mortal Kombat series is still alive, but it needs to come back with a bang.

I agree about Sonic. After Sonic RPG comes out, Sega should (but I highly doubt they will) either give up on Sonic, or make the games more like the old ones. A series like that really shouldn't have a camera view like in the newer games such as Sonic Heroes, it makes it seem more like a racing game then a platformer.

And although it's a long shot, it would rock if Viewtiful Joe was continued.
