Video help in Photo Channel

Please help!!!! I used to be able to record videos with my camera and play them from the SD card through the Photo Channel. I used to use a Canon Powershot SD400 camera that created videos in AVI format using mjpeg codec. Now, I have switched to a Canon Powershot S5 IS camera which also creates videos in AVI format with mjpeg codec, but no videos from my new camera will play through the photo channel on the SD card. The channel recognizes the files as videos and shows the thumbnail of the video, but it will only play the first second of each video and stop. Can anyone please help me?????

if you updated the channel, it will tell you about a compatibility change. that may be the problem.

I did update the channel and noticed that it didn't work. I then went back down to the original photo channel and it still didn't work. I tested it out with both cameras. The video with one works and the other doesn't. I'm just at a loss to know why.

Wait are you sure you can use the previous version of the Photo Channel after updated? Maybe the Wii doesn't recognise videos due to the codec in the new camera. hmm...

Yes, you can go to Data Management, delete the new Photo Channel and it will revert back to the old version. I found that from the nintendo site. I sent nintendo tech support an e-mail about this. They think it may be the audio codec that prevents it from working....who knows?? I can't seem to find what the audio codec is for the new camera, I think its wav....but can't confirm that.
