Wow, I remember seeing it when I was a young (and probably better looking) boy when it first came out and I was the only one in the theater and I was thinking immediately how terrible it was. Luigi didn't have a mustache and got the main girl (although she was named Daisy), Yoshi was too small to ride, Bowser was a human (at first), and the Mushroom Kingdom was basically a New York City. It took me a while after seeing that movie to pick up a Mario game again :justno:

Well no, from what I heard they had a lot of the movie done but they do not have enough money to finish it and do editing and all that other movie work they do after shooting it. Making a trailer was probably not a smart move on their part. If they never made one and actually finished it, people would be lining up like for Star Wars movies to see it, unfortunately there would be riots at the movie theaters when people actually saw it.

No, they stopped production because it was a fake trailer. I thought that was obvious.

Not sure where you heard that, but the movie is very real and there was a website for it. Trust me, the trailer was not a fake, this was going to be a movie, granted a very low budget movie, but it was real.

Of course it was never going to appear in theaters, it was a movie that would be appear in independent movie festiviles, small theaters, and basically go straight to video movies. But it was not a homemade movie, it was an ACTUAL movie. I know you all think it was lame but a studio made it and there was a budget for it.
