Why do characters occasionally slip and fall. Is there a way to make them do this, or is it just random? It can get kind of annoying in the middle of a battle.

it's absoulutely random, it can ruin a game sometime, so i think it is a waste of time for them to put it in there when they could've been making zelda and sheik have differant f.s.'s, lucas and ness have differant f.s.'s, fox, wolf and falco have differant f.s.'s, and caption falcon and ganondorf have differant f.s.'s.

Although this has nothing to do with the original topic, I feel like talking about it anyways. Zelda and Sheik I think are the same. I can't remember which is which, but one of either ness' or lucas' final smashes makes star things go straight down, and the other makes them fall at an angle. Fox and Falco I THINK are the same, but Wolf's tank is stronger and faster, but ends faster. Ganondorf and C. F. aren't that similar.

I never notice them slipping and falling, as most battles I have with my friends are dominated by aerial battles. However, make sure it isn't just Diddy Kong throwing bananas at you...

i used to THINK it happens when you just push WAYYYY to many buttons so u just fall on your face.....
but later on in the brawling life i found out its completly random....but it mainly happens in the heart of the match...and sometimes it can be game changing even game deciding things....
