Just a quick update for any readers. Both chapter 6 and 7 will be up on Monday because Chapter 7 is a new scenario meaning you wont be reading from Hayate's point of view for awhile.

Chapter 6- Hayate vs. Setori pt.1

Once Marsa and I were out of Reo post we gradually moved faster until we started running, we kept moving until the town was out of sight. When we stopped to catch our breath, We removed the Setorian uniforms.
When Marsa removed hers she pulled something from the pockets of it. It was a container of water and 2 small loaves of bread. “ When did you..” “ I grabbed them from the stand While Ramon was walking in the other direction, You really didn’t take me for the sheltered type did you?” “ Your one to talk you suspected me of being a Setorian!” Marsa smirked at this. “ Just take some of the bread” It wasn’t until Marsa offered me the bread that I realized I hadn’t eaten since I’d left Danirie.

Marsa and I sat in the grassy field for awhile mostly saying nothing and just waiting on Ramon. “ So….I know your not a Setorian and yet…You don’t bear the mark of a Sitorian…So what exactly are you?” “ Just someone who got caught in the middle I suppose, Speaking of which I didn’t get a chance to ask Leo something before I left” This caught Marsa’s attention. “ What exactly is The Core?” Marsa was silent for a while as if thinking deeply. “ The core… Is an object that is connected to me.” “ What do you mean connected?” “ To put it simply….If the core is destroyed…Then I’ll die.” “ I see…so im assuming its heavily guarded somewhere?” “ That’s the thing no one is sure of its physical form or where it is, The prophecy wasn’t exactly specific..” Marsa was obviously very touchy about the subject, and with good reason so I decided to change it…too bad I never got the chance.


“ First in the ruins, Then in Danirie, and now here, Your just everywhere I go aren’t you?
At the sound of the voice I immediately drew my katana and faced him. “So this is the 3rd time we’ve met, seems like we should at least know each others name.” The cloaked figure laughed. “ Such arrogance, You wont live much longer so I suppose it doesn’t matter. I have long evolved beyond the need for a name, You may call me Setori.” I noticed Marsa backing away slowly. She was very pale and trembling. “ Setori huh? Ill make sure this what’s engraved on your tombstone.” The man drew back his sleeve and once again revealed the grotesque flesh in place of his arm. “ I’ve grown tired of your arrogance, Im going to make this a slow and painful death.”

Setori’s arm extended forth at a high speed, Slightly shocked I barely evaded the attack. I lunged at the arm attempting to cut it in half, the arm retracted at an even higher speed and once again extended in a stabbing motion. I held my ground and positioned my sword horizontally the arm struck the blade and instantly I was pushed back. Determined to hit this time, I switched my sword to a vertical position and cut downward slicing through the arm. Setori winced in pain and retracted the arm. The arm started to pulsate violently and twist and pull until it was in the shape of a blade. Setori smirked and rushed towards me. I charged towards him and the blades met with a loud noise similar to a knife being sharpened.

Setori used his other arm to knock the wind out of me. I tightened my grip on the blade. Setori reared back for another attack, this time I leaned slightly to the side and evaded his attack. Suddenly Setori jumped back and reformed his arm into its former vine shape. Ramon had arrived at my side. I tried to change my stance slightly when I felt a sharp pain in my sides. Setori’s punch had broken one of my ribs. Setori noticed the pain I was in and laughed. “ What’s the matter?, not quite as strong as you thought you were?” “ Theresa 2 of them now so you may assist.” Another robed figure quickly appeared at Setori’s side. The figure drew a blade and lunged forward at me.

Having no time to recover, the robed figure made a small cut across my left arm. I drove my knee into the ribs of the figure and attempted to stab him below his right shoulder, but he evaded the attack and retook his stance a few feet back. At this point I noticed Ramon was fighting Setori. The robed figure started running in another direction, That’s when I saw Marsa running towards a cliff, and the figure not far behind.

“ Quick after him!” Ramon yelled. I ran as fast as I could chasing them. Marsa came to a halt and a few seconds later I realized she was standing at the edge of the cliff. The robed figure brought his blade into the air and yelled “ I’ve got you now evil bitch!” The voice sounded so familiar I could swear I knew him. I grabbed the figure while still running and over the cliff we went. As we were falling the figure held up his blade and prepared to strike. Just before I reached for my katana the figures hood fell back, and when I saw Him I felt as if all the air had once again left my body. " it.....cant be..”

Chapter 7- Memories

“ It is done My lord his memories gone” “ Good perhaps he will be of use now” I sat up slowly. “ Ugh..my head…. Where am I?” A man in a cloak was sitting in a chair near me. “ Don’t worry your in a safe place”
I immediately stood up “ Who the hell are you and where am I!?” “ Calm yourself, we found you in a field passed out so we brought you here.” “ Oh yeah like im supposed to believe that!” “ Im not going to ask you again, calm down, My name is Setori, would you be so kind as to tell me yours?” “ No way im going to tell some random guy my name, Just giving me your name doesn’t mean im going to trust you”


“ That’s fine for now, May I ask….where did you come from?” I tried to think but…everything was blank I couldn’t remember anything. Where id come from even who I was…only my name. “ I don’t know…” “ What do you mean you don’t know?” “ Don’t you get it!?!? I don’t know! I don’t know who I am or where I came from I don’t know anything!!” “ So you’ve lost your memories?” His calm state was starting to make me feel foolish. I sighed heavily “ I guess so..I cant remember anything… Only my name.” “ Most likely it was the work of the Evil one.” “The evil one?”

“The evil one is a being of unimaginable evil capable of destroying all life as we know it, We Setorians fight to destroy the evil, And save the people in this world. We are opposed by the Sitorians who fight to protect the Evil for some unknown reason. We have tried to reason with them but they only wish for destruction. For centuries we have searched for The Core an item capable of destroying the evil.” “ So basically you’re the good guys and there the bad guys?” Setori laughed. “ Yes I suppose you could it that way.”

“We believe now is the time when the Setorians are strongest and we must strike and destroy The evil one. We need every man we can get, so tell me young one, Would you be willing to help us if I could promise the return of your memory in exchange?” I Thought for a second then realized…this was the only way “ Deal I’ll help you for now, Get my memory back and be known as someone who saved the world seems like a good idea to me. Setori stood up and smiled. “ Very well and what is your name young friend?” “ My name…is Tensi.

Chapter 8- Testing

As I was laying in the room Setori had given me I heard voices outside my door. I crept slowly and quietly, making sure no one heard me walk to the door. As I pressed my ear to the door the voices became much clearer. “ We’ve discovered the village of Sitorians my lord, They have very few soldiers there strength is truly fading!” “ Excellent, we will begin our assault tonight. We’ll kill Yetoro and capture Leo, If nothing else his captivity will only lower the Sitorians spirit.” “ There is even better news my lord, The red haired child you left for dead in the ruins of Ahoman…he is with the Sitorians.” “ A child so foolish as to attack me….he deserves nothing less than a painful death. The voices stopped and I quickly moved back to my bed.

A few minutes later Setori entered the room. “ Tensi I have an important mission to carry out and I may not return until tomorrow.” Another man entered the room, a slightly taller thinner man of younger age, He had short spiky black hair, and a very shy look about him. “ This is Cetos, While im away he will be training you, I’m going to need you very soon in battle and ill need you in top form.” Setori turned to Cetos “ Don’t be too ruthless with him”. Setori left the room and Cetos turned to me. “ Come” He said. without any hesitation I followed him. After a few turns and hallways we arrived at a room. Cetos opened the door and I quickly followed him inside. It was an extremely large room that was completely white, The floors, ceiling, and the walls, everything completely white. “ What is this place?” “This is the training room, if your wondering the reason its completely white I couldn’t tell you. It was Master Setori’s wish and so it was”
Cetos removed two swords from the sheathes on his sides. He tossed me the sword in his left hand. “ Lets not waste anytime shall we?”

Cetos stayed true to his words and lunged at me. I lowered my sword and attempted to attack from below. Cetos easily parried my attack and attempted to counterattack. I swept my left leg under his causing him to lose his balance. I made a quick horizontal slice and made a small cut across Cetos” chest. I smirked at him “ Aren’t you the one supposed to be testing me?” Cetos grinned. “ You’re a natural with a blade” Cetos moved his left leg slightly back and pointed his sword towards me. “ Now, Lets so how you do when I don’t hold back” Cetos lunged at an incredible speed. He drove his own blade clear through mine breaking it in half. Cetos held his blade a few inches from my throat. “ No, Im the not one testing you” A wide grin spread across Cetos’ face. “ Im the one training you”

Chapter 9- Speed

Cetos slowly moved his blade away from my throat, still grinning. “ You underestimated your opponent. Had that happened in battle you’d be dead right now, You should always your opponent is faster and stronger than you are.” “ Well you broke the sword I was using, So what now?” “ Do you expect me to stop attacking? If it was broken by a Sitorian, would they stop?” I sighed heavily. Cetos stared at me for a second. “ I’ll give you a break this time, and let you move on to the next part of the training.” Cetos sheathed his sword. “Hand to hand combat.” “ Is this really even necessary?” “ You wont always have a sword by your side.’

Cetos once again used his incredible speed to get the better of me. He delivered a crushing blow and knocked the wind out of me. Before I could even raise a hand Cetos grabbed my arm and threw me across the room. I quickly stood up. “ How the hell am I supposed to beat this guy when he moves faster than I can think!” Cetos once again started to charge at me. Not to be hit again I quickly moved forward and rolled to the side. Cetos run right past me and nearly into the wall. Finally I saw the flaw in his speed. He moved much faster than the average person but it also took him much longer to stop.


I Moved directly Into Cetos’ path and as he started to charge I crouched slightly and held out my elbow as if he was right in front of me and sure enough, Cetos ran directly into my attack and winced in pain. I attempted to uppercut him but to no avail. He may have been hit but he was still too fast. “ So your finally starting to learn, good I was beginning to think you were a bit slow.” “ Fast enough to hit you” Cetos laughed loudly. “Alright that’s enough for now.” Cetos and I left the training room. As we walked down the hallway to the dining hall I started to wonder about a few things, so I asked him.

“ So…Exactly how did you end up here?” “ When I was a small child the town I lived in was attacked by Sitorians. They killed all of my family and most of the people living there. I and several other children were kept as future soldiers. One day a Large group of people, Who I later found out to be Setorians retook the town in the night. The next morning I met Master Setori. He took me in and treated me as if I were family. I don’t think ill ever be able to repay him for that debt.” “ So you’ve been here since you were a child? “ That’s right. This place is home as well as home to many other Setorians and several other people rescued from Sitorian prisons.” “ Hey there’s some thing else I wanted to ask you about…” “Cetos!” Cetos and I turned to see 2 Setorians running towards us. “ We’ve found the Angel!” A Shocked expression appeared on Cetos’ face. Cetos turned to me “ Quickly come with me, Now is the time to prove your loyalty to master Setori.” Cetos and I left the castle moving at a quick pace. Cetos obviously moving slower so I could keep up. “ Hey Cetos…what did he mean Angel?”
