Chapter 17-Allies
I ran my fingers through my hair, I realized how long it had become as another headache set in. It'd been 4 days since I arrived in this forest, it was time to switch locations again. I was tired, tired of running, and tired of living in fear. I wanted to strike back, I wanted to attack Setori's castle, Take Marsa back, and save the world like a hero. But i wasn't foolish enough, I'd be dead before I got to the door. I've been in hiding long enough, I decided. I would save Marsa in the next 30 days, Before Marsa was set to be killed. But how?
"Of course!" i shouted to no one in particular, I needed someone, no people, i needed people to fight alongside me. But it'd been 3 months, Setori had convinced the majority of the world he was doing the right thing. The Sitorians were almost non-existent.
Ramon was dead, and as far as I knew So was Leo. I reached for my side and drew my katana, the blade was beggining to become dull. I needed to set out for a town with a blacksmith, and look for allies while i was there, But i was almost out of money. I decided i would find a temporary job in town.
I started walking in no particular direction, I would just walk until i found a town, if there was no blacksmith, i would ask for directions to one that did. After a few hours of walking my feet seemed to becom heavier, sinking deeper into the hot sand. I wanted to stop and take a break, but my will wouldn't allow it. I walked for hours more, thinking of everything that happened, but mostly of Marsa and saving her. I nearly collasped into the sand as town came into sight. I expected to get a room for the night but i realized i left the forest at night, it was now mid day. A i walked into town i saw nothing that stood out at first. But as i turned to the right I smiled for the first time in 3 months, A blacksmith was forging hot metal acrosss an anvil into the shape of a sword. As i started to walk towards him, a young man,about 15, short for his age, and short black hair, He ran past and bumped into me, not turning around to apologize. As i looked down, i saw He'd dropped a few pieces of fruit. As i picked them up and prepared to find him and return them, A loud booming voice caught my attention. " Thief! arrest him!" , As i Turned i saw 2 guards rushing towards me at full speed. " Oh you've got to be kidding me."
