How to connect?

Right When i get my Wii how do I connnect to Wi-Fi do I need to buy anything? I have a wireless router and 8mb sky broadband.

1. From the main menu, click the Wii icon on the lower left corner.

2. Click the right box that says "Wii Settings"

3. Click the right arrow once and click the third box going down that says "Internet"

4. Click the first box that says "Connection Settings"

5. Click the box that says "Connection 1", then choose "Wireless Connection", and then "Search for an Access Point"

6. Your system will then search and you pick the Access Point you wish to use and it will save your settings and do a connection test. Once the test is over it will ask you to perform a System Update, which you should agree to do.

7. Go back to the area that has the box that says "Internet" and click the box below it that says "WiiConnect24". Here you can decide to allow your Wii to be connected to the Internet even when you have your Wii on standby (when the orange light is on the power button). I would recommend you choose yes as you Wii can then receive updates and messages while it is off.

Jules said it all so stick to that and u got it. If it dosn't work u can get a Nintendo WIFI USB Connector.

The only problem with Jules instructions is that you could possibly have a router that is encrypted. If that is the case, you would need to enter a lengthy password that you would find on your computer somewhere in an information file about the router. I don't know where, but just thought I'd throw that tidbit in there.
