Just to get this out of the way, this thread was not made to show what should have been in Brawl. I am in no way disappointed with Brawl, and I'm not so bored with it that I'm expecting another SSB game anytime soon if at all. This is just to share some of my ideas for a possible fourth SSB game.

I'll show you how this works. I'll post my ideas for things that could be featured in a hypothetical SSB4 given unlimited time, memory, and resources. And since I have so many ideas for it, I'll list them in a series of updates so as to save your time and prevent you from having to read a wall of text that you might rather skip over if you're not interested. Of course, being LuigiMan, there's no difinite time of day or week I can assure you that I'll update this thread, so just keep your eyes peeled.

Character: Majora Link

This is a rather interesting character concept I thought of. It works similarly to Pokemon Trainer, having three separate characters that one can go through with the down special move. Young Link has three masks: the Deku mask, the Zora mask, and the Goron mask. Each has its own moves, like Trainer's Charizard, Squirtle, and Ivysaur. BTW, I'm too lazy to post the complete moveset... I thought of it before, but I don't remember everything, and going back and finding the moves I came up with would take too long. Sorry. Maybe I'll change my mind sometime.

Stage: Balloon Fight


This stage is based on the NES game Balloon Fight. There are several hazards in this stage; a man-eating fish comes out of the water if you get too close. The clouds occasionally send bursts of electricity that cause major damage upon contact, though they don't have much knockback power.

One of the unique features of Balloon Fight is that you can't die by being sent to the side of the screen, because like in the original game, you will end up on the other side of the stage if you go to one side. This creates many interesting combo possibilities.

Character: Ridley


B - Flamethrower: Ridley releases continuous flames from his mouth, much like Bowser and Charizard.

B^ - Tail Spear: Ridley, his body tilted diagonally with his feet up, sticks his tail straight up (diagonally, actually) and rapidly spins his body around. Imagine Meta Knight's >B, but diagonal.

B> - Lunge: Ridley lunges to the side. If the attack connects, the enemy will be caught in his mouth for a few seconds, then spat out.

BV - Metroid: Ridley releases a baby Metroid from his wing and it goes after the nearest enemy. It causes minor damage and can be destroyed easily, and there can be no more than one released at a time.

Final Smash - After flying to the background, Ridley will release a huge white beam from his mouth. You can control the beam. Similar to Lucario's FS, but not vertical and harder to control.

Those are both good ideas. So the only way to die in the Balloon Fight stage is to get swallowed by the fish or get knocked upwards? Interesting.
I think that each Final Smash should be unique so I'm not too fond of the one you gave Ridley. I was thinking along the lines of a devastating screech that blurs the screen and rockets players off the stage. Or he releases Mother Brain and you control her for awhile. That would be quite intense.

Stage: Ghost House Montage

This level would consist of all the Ghost houses in the Mario Franchise. After awhile in one stage it would transition into the next Ghost House until the match is over. Maybe sidescrolling like Mushroomy Kingdom or just the best parts of each ghost house. Boos would be constant obstacles only seizing their attack while you look at them

Character: Midna

B - Portal: Sets up a portal in two locations on the stage. If you fall through the portal you reemerge in the other one. It can be set up either vertical or horizontal so that blasts from guns can also go through the portal. Disappears after awhile or if you set it up in a different location.

B^ - Warp: Midna Turns into particles and reforms at a higher location. Like Pikachu's quick attack you can choose which direction you move towards.

B> - Particle Toss: Midna grabs her opponent and juggles them through the air over her head as particles and slams them into the ground returning them to their solid state.

BV - Squeeze: Midna uses her magical orange hair to grab her opponent and squeeze them inflicting 10% damage each time. Opponent must tap buttons repeatedly to break free.

Final Smash - Taking center stage she bursts into particles that reform as the Mirror of Twilight. From the Mirror emerges the Six Sages. Midna reappears in her true form and the Sages transform into the magical blade that was used to try and restrain Ganondorf. She holds the sword up and the three great guardians that protect the land of Hyrule spiral out of the blade hitting all opponents off the screen. This would be a cut-scene final smash like Captain Falcon's.... seems a bit much but would be nifty to see.

its cool having new characters butt no what would be cool link that can transform to wolf form like zelda into shiek and have some awsom moves im two lazy to make them so why not u guys and midna sounds like a wicked Idea another one would be Rosalina or Dry bones never mind dry bones c'ant think of any moves:confused:

Dry Bones:

B: Bone Throw

B>: Shell Roll (Like Squirtle)

B^: Head Throw (He takes off his head, throws it upwards, then the rest of the body shoots uo and reconnects to the head, like Ike's up B.)

Bv: Counter (He falls apart into a pile of bones. When someone gets close enough or attacks him, he comes back together and attacks.)

Final Smash: Dry Bowser (He becomes Dry Bowser. Stronger, Faster, Bigger basically.)
