Thats called an interupter =p , But i see your point, Sonic would not pair well with Ganon, his speed is high, not his attack speed.

An interupter is someone who can use an attack that stops actions, but has nearly no knockback so that it keeps them in place for the attack. All of sonics attacks would put an opponent out of attack range.

maybe lucaio would do well. he is a middle class, so we could maintain a defenseive aspect while still dealing about the same damage. what do you think?

I've never seen Lucario used in a team match, so I couldn't say.

well, im a lucario user, he has slow atacks, but he also has a couple short notice ones.

pikachu. he isnt an attack or defense. hes all around. he has that hold A attack. also ivysaur with his bullet seed. wen there getting hit gannon can hit him with his knee and if he has past a certain amount of % its an auto ko

Yeah I'm VERY familiar with Lucario (Ichigo =p) I would say his arieals are his fastest attacks, But Ganon needs someone who can interupt constantly, Hes the slowest in game char, And can be easily done in by a speedy char.
Ivysaur is much too slow to interupt and can only be out 2 mins before he gets tired.
