I personally perfer the Super or Mega Mushroom because it does the most damage the easiest way. The Pow bloacks are easy to dodge, all you have to do is get airborne. The Rainclouds are quite easy to pass on because you never get them in first place, usually in the middle of the pack when it is easiest.

It sucks though when your on 150cc 5 car lenghts from the finish line and you get lightning, seeker shell (blue shell), red shell, Pow block

gold mushrooms ftw!! when i get it at like 8th spot and its like almost at the end of the race i use it and i get 1st =p rofl..gold mushrooms isn't a new item =p oh well.

There really are not many new items in Mario kart Wii, but of all the items I like the bullet bill and the golden mushroom. I really hate the raincloud too

just a comment or 2. i agree that the cloud is prob the most annoying item in the game. no 2 ways about it. and i DO like Bullet Bill, but i've found when i turn back into my character, i'm often put in really awkward places like running directly into walls or on top of a fake item box. THAT'S annoying...
