Guidelines Of Thread Removing
Staffers of Wiiusers.net, this is the Forum of thread storing for dead, stagnant, or dormant threads to be placed. Now, there are some guidelines that must be followed before you simply place a thread in this bare wasteland of forgetfulness, so lets just go over these shall we?
*Make sure there is at least a 30 day gap between the last post of the thread, and the date in which you are removing the thread. This will make sure that new members, and as well as old members, have time to post in a topic that suits there interest. If the thread reaches thirty days over, and you do not have the power to remove it from the public eye, please contact someone with the power, we will be happy to do it for you.
*Clan threads are most important when removing threads. If a clan dies, or is no longer an active running clan on this site, after 30 days you are allowed to remove it. If the clan master decides to revive the clan with the same name, same genre of gaming, you are allowed to restore the clans original thread back to the public. Once again, if you know that a clan is being revived, but do not have the power to restore the thread, contact someone who can.
*Arts and Creativity Forum falls under a whole new set standard of rules. If a thread is dormant for more than 60 days time, you may remove it from the Boards. If the signature thread owner asks why his/her thread was removed, simply say the thread was removed because it exceeded the limit of time to remain dormant, and that you will have to make a new one. 60 days is well more than enough to update a thread if you really want to, so this shouldn't ever be a problem.
*Lastly, do not remove Official Discussion threads. These are designed to stay on the Forum Boards at all time. These are the only type of threads, if it exceeds the 30 limit, that can be bumped. Remember this, if an Official thread is bumped, it is allowed.
I hope this helps us Staff understand the importance of this thread, and hopefully we can make a more clean, compact thread for all of us Wiiusers to enjoy.

Well what is the policy of reviving old or dead threads? As I mentioned before, what if months ago we talked about a game that was in development and the thread dies but then months later the game is released, I think it might be important and beneficial to bring back the old thread so people can see what were the initial thoughts of the game idea and discuss that as well.

Yes, and that is what Official Discussion threads are for. You talk about a game or topic before, and after the game or topic is revealed. Usermade threads that are like Official Discussion threads are to be deleted after the thirty day policy, then that gives more people the upmost opportunity to discuss that matter in the Official Discussion thread.
I understand what you are saying completely, and I know what point you are trying to make, but it is not hard to update a thread like this, instead of bumping it completely. Update it, talk about the new gaming system, the graphics, the characters, it doesn't matter as long as your not just saying, "I am going to bump this so it doesn't get removed."
Discussions will stay on the board as long as they are in the users interest, if they are not, they should not be wasting space, making it harder to find things the public actually wants to talk about.

And on that note, do you guys think we should have a Sub-Forum for threads like this that may come back? A Forum for clan threads, discussions, or any sort of site announcement that we may have to access in the near future?

Ok, the Forums have been cleaned up and the threads are now up to date and no longer cluttered.
Some of you may be asking, why did you leave so many older threads in the Creativity and Arts Forum? Simply, because members tend to come back a update their signatures or fan comics. I would not like my thread to be removed simply because it takes me a while to create graphical genius, in which I myself, am lying. :P
Blinked is a perfect example. Hes not very active on the Forum, but he does step in time to time to update his thread, so this is why I chose this route.
Hope everyone likes the new, clean Forums. Enjoy!

One question should threads that are closed be moved here sooner?
