I read it this morning but didn't have time to post before I left.
Either way I'm glad more was finally added, and it was great too. I was not expecting some of the stuff that happened. Very good indeed and I can not wait until it's finished. =D

Chapter Twelve
The first thing I felt when I awoke was an awful feeling in my chest, like there was a wound in my heart. The pain was so bad that it blinded me for a minute so it was a while before I realized where I was.
As I sat up in bed I saw that everything around me was white, like snow, and I suddenly felt a jolt of recognition as I observed my room. It was still unchanged, and I wondered what I was doing here. What was going on? Shouldn’t I be in school?
It was silent and I couldn’t see anyone anywhere. The sun was bright behind the window, it looked like early morning. I stood up, feeling the white material of my nightdress flutter in the breeze from the open window. What in the world was I doing home today?
I cautiously made my way to the door and looked out into the hallway. It was oddly silent. It did little to comfort me.
I stood there listening. I didn’t know what I was waiting for or what I was expecting but then I did hear murmuring downstairs and my feet followed the sound. I paused at the head of the stairs and listened to the whispered conversation in the living room.
“-she’s barely even there Daniel! It’s like she’s died, she’s been out cold for three days and the whole time she’s been muttering the boy’s name!”
I froze. Three days??? And who were they talking about?
“She’ll be fine Sarah. Don’t worry about her so much.”
“Don’t worry??? Have you lost your mind Daniel? Lily won’t be fine with this. If she really did what they said she did, even if he did survive…” she was cut off.
“Look, the boy will live. Dr. Johnson assured it. Lily had a minor concussion though, and she might not remember any of this for a while. Maybe its best she doesn’t find out.”
The pain in my chest intensified. I hugged myself as I winced.
“But what if the boy doesn’t live? What if he dies and she doesn’t know why?”
“Then…” Daniel stopped as if to think. “Then I guess we should tell her…”
I couldn’t hear them anymore. The pain had made me collapse onto the floor. I curled up on my side to try and dim the strength of it. But it seemed to just get worse and worse with every passing second…
I couldn’t remember anything. That’s what Daniel had said. But what was there to remember? What boy were they talking about? What could’ve caused me to lose my memory?
The pain subsided slightly and I found that I could push myself up. I stood for a moment trying to look like I hadn’t heard anything and then made my way downstairs for breakfast.
The morning passed like any other morning at my house. The story they’d told me was that I’d been sick so I had been sent home for the weekend. I knew it was a lie, but I didn’t say anything about it. It was better to play along.
Since I was “feeling better” Sarah offered to take me out for the afternoon. When we were safe in the car she turned to me and gave me a sad, pleading look.
“Lily, do you remember who Travis Deasena is?”
The name meant nothing to me, and yet… the ache in my chest seemed to suddenly blaze in pain.
“No.”
Her gaze became teary.
“We’re going to the hospital, ok? There’s something you need to see.”
I gave her a confused look.
“The hospital?”
“That’s right.”
I looked away but not before Sarah caught sight of the pain hidden in my eyes.
The ride to the hospital was short, and at the sight of the tall white building my heart gave a sickening jolt. Something was very wrong with me…
I blindly followed Sarah around as she navigated the nearly empty hallways. I didn’t pay attention to my surroundings; I was too busy trying to make sense of everything. I hardly realized when we stopped in front of a patient’s room.
Sarah turned to look at me with apology in her eyes before she turned the knob and opened the door.
I looked at the figure sleeping in the bed and the pain in my heart became so unbearable that I fell to the ground with a cry.
“Lily!” Sarah shouted as she tried to pull me up from the floor. I didn’t hear her; my memories were coming back now, sharp and clear and every bit as terrifying as they had been that night…
“Travis,” I managed to gasp as she lifted me to my feet.
Sarah nodded sadly.
“Yes, he’s in better shape now than he was that first night. He’s very lucky, he almost died.”
I clutched at my chest. I hadn’t noticed that I’d stopped breathing.
“Would you like to be alone with him for a while?” she asked carefully.
I didn’t answer as I stared at his peaceful angelic face. But she seemed to understand as she backed out of the room and quietly closed the door.
I couldn’t move for a long time. I could only stare at him as he slept. It was only when I began to wonder why my face was so cold that I felt the tears running down my cheeks. Finally some unknown strength moved me to the bed where I sat on the edge and continued to analyze his face.
The sallow lines of stress had disappeared, his shock of black hair partly covered his eyes, and he was much more my Travis now… the Travis before the change. He was wearing a plain black shirt which moved with his slow and gradual breathing.
I hesitated for a moment before stroking his hand gently. He stirred under my touch and his eyes opened in surprise.
He didn’t say anything when he saw who it was, but his face broke into a small smile.
“Hi,” I breathed.
“Hi,” he whispered back.
For a moment neither of us said anything. I was in excruciating pain, but I tried to hide it from him.
“You look beautiful you know,” he said, finally breaking the silence. He reached to touch my face.
I didn’t answer.
“It wasn’t your fault you know,” he said quietly. The pain made me close my eyes for a few seconds.
“It was all my fault, I shouldn’t have listened to Aqua and I was the one w-who…,” I couldn’t bring myself to say it.
“No Lily, don’t blame yourself. It was partly my fault for letting you go, and also for not saying anything when I came up behind you.”
He sat up now, grimacing slightly in pain from the wound on his chest. He never took his hand from my face as he adjusted to look me in the eyes.
“This wound doesn’t mean anything,” he said softly. His breath was pleasant against my face, and I was quickly losing focus. “All that matters is that you’re ok.”
I felt my heart skip a beat. The pain in my chest was subsiding; he was alright, he would live.
“I’d have died if something had happened to you,” he muttered, holding my face in both his hands. “Thank God you’re ok.”
“But you got hurt, you almost died!” I said horrified.
“It doesn’t matter,” he answered. “You were safe; my only regret would have been having to leave you.”
I felt the blush creeping up on my cheeks.
He kissed my forehead, the tip of my nose, and finally my lips. It was amazing; he had never kissed me like that before. I found I didn’t want it to end, and all too soon he pulled away, still keeping his face close to mine.
“I love you,” he whispered. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
“I love you too,” I breathed back. I was having a little trouble getting my breath back.
“Everything will be ok. You’ll see.”
“I believe you…”
He smiled and kissed me again.
“It’ll be ok…”
The door opened and he quickly pulled his hands from my face. Sarah stood in the doorway smiling slightly at our guilty expressions.
“Time to go Lily.”
“Alright.”
I turned back to Travis and hugged him. At first he seemed surprised but then he pulled me closer.
“Promise me I’ll see you in school soon,” I whispered in his ear.
“Promise,” he whispered back. I let go and kissed him on the cheek. Then I stood up over to where Sarah was and turned to wave at him.
Everything was starting to look up.

Epilogue
“We’re going to be late!” Aqua cried from outside the door.
“Hold on a sec, I’m trying to fix this,” I answered irritated. I changed the hairstyle from a plait to a braid and secured it with a pin.
“Lily!”
“I’m going!” I shouted as I grabbed my cap and opened the door.
“We have like five minutes to get there,” Aqua said as we rushed out the dormitory and down the stairs.
“I know already,” I said fixing the cap on my head. Outside we could hear someone talking over a microphone.
“Shit it already started!” she said as she bolted down the first floor corridor.
“Wait!” I cried as I hurried after her.
“I bet Cleyra’s already there, and we still have to get in position…”
We ran outside as fast as we could.
Everyone was already there, I noticed. I spotted Sarah and Daniel near the front, and Sapphire, Damian, and Brendan in the third row. Damian saw us and motioned for us to hurry up. I ignored him and rushed to take my place behind Samantha Durnet. Two places ahead of me Marella turned to me and mouthed the words you’re late.
I know I mouthed back. She rolled her eyes with a slight smile and turned back to the front. Although we were supposed to be friends, Marella and I never could see eye to eye.
The principal was now speaking on the raised platform.
“-I now introduce you to the senior graduating class of 2011!”
Everyone cheered loudly. I saw Ayden and Elizabeth whistling near the back. It made me smile to see everyone so worked up.
“Before we pass out diplomas, I would like to have our Valedictorian say a few words. Please give a round of applause for Cleyra Seruna!”
There was a huge amount of noise as Brendan and Damian blew horns. I cheered loudly as Clair walked on stage wearing her golden robes and cap. Silence fell as she began her speech.
“Everyone receiving a diploma today has worked very hard to get here. I know for a fact that there were times when I felt like shooting myself in the foot,” she looked at Marella and winked mischievously. “And there were also times when I felt like giving up and going to sleep like a normal person,” she paused as some of the audience laughed. “But none of these amazing people gave up, and because of it they stand here before you, about to step out into the world as adults. Everyone give a hand for the class of 2011!”
The cheering resumed once more.
“We destroyed you, class of 2010!” she shouted out to Sapphire, Damian, and Brendan. Everyone laughed and Cleyra walked off stage smirking. Brendan playfully stuck out his tongue at her; they’d been together for too long for it to bother her.
The principal resumed her speech.
“First to receive their diploma, Janice Aaron!”
The crowd clapped as the shy brunette walked up to receive her diploma.
“Kathy Abet!”
“Sean Abanel!”
The list continued down for a while and the distance between the stage and I whittled down.
“Marella Damena!”
The whole group cheered loudly as she walked up the stage looking a little smug.
“Travis Deasena!”
I shouted as loud as I could as he walked up, his white hair standing out from the blue robes and cap.
“Samantha Durnet!”
“Lily Edwards!”
I felt slightly nervous as I stepped up and shook the principal’s hand. I looked out at the crowd and saw my parents smiling up at me. I’d done them proud.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the senior class of 2011!”
Everyone shouted loudly and all of us threw our caps in the air. I walked over to meet with everyone else.
“What are you gonna do now, Cleyra?” Aqua asked, beaming.
“What do you think? I’m getting my ass into college.”
“Hmm… I think I should get a job first,” Marella said.
“Doesn’t matter yet,” Sapphire said smiling. “Just make sure to keep in touch!”
“You bet I will,” Cleyra said.
“Yup!” Aqua chimed in.
I felt someone hug me from behind.
“Congrats,” I heard a deep voice in my ear.
I laughed.
“C’mon, let go Travis.”
“Hmm… no, I like it this way.”
“Of course you do,” I answered rolling my eyes.
“So what are you going to do now?” he asked playfully.
“Oh you know rob a bank, kill random people, all the usual stuff.”
“Interesting.”
“What?”
“Were you planning to include me on these exploits?”
“Were you planning to tie me up and drag me around like a dog if I refused?”
“Nah, putting you in a cage is better.”
I laughed and turned to kiss him.
“Guys seriously, not in front of us,” Damian said annoyed.
“Well then go away if you don’t like it,” Travis said.
“I think I will before I hurl.”
We laughed at his expression. He pretended to throw up on Marella who pushed him. Soon everyone was arguing and shoving. I laughed and turned to look at the horizon.
Life wasn’t over yet. It was only just beginning.
