Felt like writing something and this just sort of came to me, Id say this is for 13+, alot of violence and abit of profanity,And as you read this keep in mind, Not every story will have a happy ending

I was running out of breath now and starting to fall behind, Tensi grabbed my hand and pulled me closer.
“ Cmon man you gotta keep up or were done for!” he said. I took a quick observation of my surroundings, There was a stale scent in the air, The walls had symbols and writings on them, a language I couldn’t understand. While I was still observing I heard a loud thud. My best friend since the day I was born Tensi had fallen I wanted to go back for him but it was too late, “ Forget about him , turn around now and you will only be killed” One of the mysterious men said. “We have to! We can’t just leave him he wont make it!” I replied.

That’s when I noticed they had stopped running. I looked at one of the mysterious figures and his face was as pale as a ghost I looked around we were in a room now but it didn’t look any different. The taller figure with blond hair grabbed the one in shock and shook him. “ What it is it Kyro? Whats wrong?” The one called Kyro lowly whispered “…Its here” “ What?!? How could it have gotten here already!?!” The blonde man replied. Then it was as if all the life was sucked out of me all at once the room got darker, colder, my body was completely paralyzed. I heard Low raspy laughter and then I was thrown to the other end of the room, slammed into the wall, I quickly stood up and drew the blade Kyro had given to me when we entered this place. At first I saw nothing then I realized I was looking directly at a person in a black cloak. He wrapped his hand around the blonde man’s throat “ Last chance Byton , Tell me where the core is and I may not kill your friends, its late for you however you’ve crossed my path far too many times” Byton replied while breathing heavily “ N..n..never I cannot betray the trust of those who gave there lives so that The Angel may live”. Everything was silent for a moment and then the cloaked figure let out a heavy sigh and said “ So be it, Tell the others how there sacrifices were in vain”. The Cloaked figure tightened his grip and at the same time, Thrust a blade through Byton's Stomach.

As the Blood dripped from the blade I tightened my grip on my blade and charged full force at the cloaked figure. He saw my attack coming, retracted his blade, easily dodged my attack and counterattacked by driving his elbow into my neck. As i hit the floor i didn't think i had ever felt such pain. Not giving me a chance to gain my balance he quickly lifted me by shirt and thrust his blade directly at my heart. Kyro attacked the figure from behind and his blade sliced my upper chest and arm. The figure quickly turned around and thrust his blade towards Kyro and only missed by an inch. Kyro quickly Ran out of the room and as he was nearly out of sight, Yelled "Find and protect The Angel!" At this point i could barely hear him, i was starting to faint from blood loss. as my vision fogged and darkened The figure looked at me and said " we will finish this another day should you survive". And then there was nothing as i lay there bleeding an inch away from death i heard something. it was a voice i had never before heard and just before i passed out it said "Danirie"

Chapter 2- Questions awnsered

“ He had no business there!”. “ We have no idea why this child why was there you cannot hold him responsible for his actions!” “Stop being so foolish Byton was found dead there, Don’t you find it suspicious he was dead and this person was the only one there!?” “ Silence Yetoro!, Until we found out while he was there We hold nothing against this child, Im going back to search for more survivors watch over him until I return” When the two people were finished talking I drifted back to sleep. When I awoke I started to sit up then stopped.

There was a man directly above me, Red hair, muscular build, and wearing glasses. And only a few centimeters from my throat was a short dagger with a Illegible words engraved near the hilt. He started to speak “ I will only ask you once, What the hell were you doing in the ruins of Ahoman!?” “ W..what are you talking about?” “ Don’t pretend to be innocent I know your in alliance with..” “Yetoro enough!”. Another man in black robes entered the room. “ He clearly knows nothing of the Setorians”. The man sheathed his dagger and backed away. The man in robes started to speak “ Now while I wont attack you like Yetoro I need to find out who you are and why you’re here” I didn’t trust them but it didn’t seem I had much of a choice.

“ My name is Hayate, I was wondering around with my friend Ten… Wait! The place you Took me from was there another? A bit shorter than me, light brown hair?” The man in robes shook his head. “You were the only one we found , If there was another there he is gone now” I stared at the floor for a minute, thinking about places Tensi would go if we were separated. “ Alright I awnsered your questions, now you need to anwser mine” The man called Yetoro was angered by this “ We brought you to a safe haven when we had every right to let you die where you were and you think your in a position to question us?” “ Yetoro this young man is clearly confused about where he is, calm yourself, What is it you wanted to know…Hayate is it?” I slowly responded “Yeah… Where am I exactly?” Your in Danirie, A village of Sitorians” I thought for a second and realized that it was the name of the village that I had heard before I passed out. “ There was a man with me…named Kyro He said something about protecting the Core, And the man you called Byton he was killed by a cloaked figure who pursued us into the ruins, Kyro called the figure It as if he wasn’t human” The 2 men exchanged glances and the one called Yetoro left the room.

“ My Name is Leo I am the Leader of this village, im assuming you want to know everything so get comfortable, this is not a brief tale” “Long ago there was a prophet who predicted the birth of a human who could cleanse the world of all evil, That human is known as The Angel. At that moment 2 groups of people collided. One side believed The Prophet and dedicated their lives to protecting The angel should The Angel ever be born. We are known today as the Sitorians, The other side did not believe the prophets words and believed The Angel would only bring evil unto the world, Those people are known today as the Setorians. 16 years ago A Woman gave Birth to A girl, The Newborn girl was born on the exact day as the prophet predicted with the exact name and eyes the prophet predicted.” “ But wait” I interrupted. “ isn’t there a chance it could be a coincidence A name and eyes, it would seem you’d need more proof than that…” “ This child’s mother had never heard of the prophet yet she’d given her the predicted name, And it is not every day a child is born With gray eyes that turn red in the moonlight.” “ I see so what exactly is this core?” I questioned. “ The co…” A man burst into the room “ Quickly Leo! Danirie is under attack! The Setorians are attacking! “ Dammit how did they find us!?”

Leo handed me a Katana, It seemed to be freshly crafted. “ Quickly come with me”. Leo and I ran out of the room and out into the village. All around were people Fighting, The smell of blood and smoke was Lingering in the air. Leo grabbed my arm and brought me to attention “ Quickly you must get out of here, Go to the town of Reo post west of here and find a girl named Marsa, She is the angel. Find her and take her somewhere safe, I will seek you out when this battle has been won, Now quickly go!" I started to run and suddenly I stopped when I heard a familiar voice “ so Leo, Are you done hiding?” I turned around and there stood The cloaked figure. The very same one who had Killed Byton and as far as I knew…Tensi as well.

Chapter 3- Arrival

I gritted my teeth as I thought about the possible death of my best friend “ Hey! Where is he? Where’s Tensi!?” I yelled at the cloaked figure. He Spoke in a low and powerful tone “ Do not question me as if you are my better child” The cloaked figure called 2 Setorians to his side “ Kill the child and capture Leo, We will force the information out of him”. As one of The Setorians lunged at me, I tightened my grip on the katana, heart pounding I raised my blade and prepared to parry and counterattack.

The Setorians blade struck against mine, I leaned against my sword trying to force him to fall back, as he started to overcome me Yetoro appeared, grabbed the setorian from behind, threw him to the ground and impaled him through the chest. Yetoro retracted his blade and took a swordsman’s stance. “ Leo gave you an order now go before its too late!” I turned and ran as fast as I could and took one final glance at the 2. The cloaked figure lowered the sleeve of his cloak to reveal a gruesome pulsating vine of flesh. Leo sighed with disgust “ So you’ve decided to use your black magic on your own body?” “ You are a mere shadow of the man I once knew” The cloaked figure laughed at this. As he lowered what seemed to be his arm and pointed it at Yetoro. I decided I’d stayed long enough , Took a deep breath and started to run.

I ran for hours without stopping, unsure if something was following me. Finally I collapsed from my own exhaustion . “ I know he told me to go west, But he could’ve at least mentioned how far it was” I thought. As I stared at the night sky I started thinking about everything. Tensi, The cloaked figure and The angel. I Wondered if I would find her, would Yetoro and Leo survive? My mind was racing at all of these questions. I decided I’d thought enough and tried to drift off to sleep unable to stop my thoughts, I just laid there staring up at the stars, wondering what was going to happen to me.

As I woke up I immediately jumped up and looked around, Nothing but grass and trees. I breathed a heavy sigh of relief and started walking again. After more and more hours of walking, I reached a cross roads. As I wondered which path to take a man in A long sweeping cloak approached. “ The right path” he said. “ What?” “ If your looking for Reo post take the right path.” I turned and looked at the right path. “ Thanks but how did…” When I turned around the man was gone.

I finally reached the Town of Reo post. As I entered the town there were heavy stares upon me. I took observation of my surroundings.
It was a clean town , heavily populated, A lot of children running around and playing. There were several shops around, by the look of it this was a merchant town.

I approached a Man at a fruit stand. “ Excuse me would you happen to know a girl named Marsa who lives around here?” “Marsa? Everyone around here knows her, shes the life of the town!” “ Do you know where I might be able to find her?” “ You could try her home which just north of that stand over there”. The man pointed to a Stand where several breads were being sold. “ But most likely you’ll just have to wander around town, Shes almost never at home” “ What exactly does she look like?” The man frowned at this “ your looking for her but you don’t know what she looks like? I suppose its none of my concern. Shes about 5,4 long blonde hair down her back, usually wearing something very colorful.” “Ok thanks, I think ill just search the town for her” “ Good luck!” the man yelled as I started off in another direction.

As I combed over the town for about the 4th time I heard someone yell “ Hey Marsa !” I turned to see a girl approach another. The other girl had to be Marsa. She was the exact height the man described her and had long blonde hair. Any other proof was unneeded as I caught a glimpse of her gray eyes. I waited until they finished there conversation then approached the girl when she was alone. “ Excuse me…are you Marsa”
“ Yep that’s me!” She seemed very peppy and excited. “ Leo and Yetoro sent me to find you I need you to come with me” She frowned for a second “ hmm… Nope! Those names don’t sound familiar hehe” I wondered how this girl could be so important when she seemed so dim. I started to speak again when she clasped her hand over my mouth and pulled me into a nearby alley. “ What the hell are you..” I started to say when I realized she had a very serious look on her face. The seemingly dim peppy girl was gone and Nothing was left but a cold stare. “ Are you trying to get us killed!?” “ What if a Setorian had heard you!?”

Chapter 4s up abit early.

Chapter 4-Survival

“ Are you deaf!?, I said How did you find me!?” I slowly responded. “The village of Danirie was attacked Yetoro and Leo sent me to find you and take you somewhere safe” “ And how can I be sure your not a Setorian sent here to kill me?” She seemed very distrustful, But I guess your murder being plotted long before your even born could do that to a person. “ Well..I don’t really know..Leo didn’t say much, hmm…. Oh!, Your eyes turn red in the moonlight!” “ That’s basic knowledge of the prophecy hardly enough for me to trust you.” I breathed a heavy sigh and ran my fingers through my hair, trying to think of something to convince her I was trustworthy. “ Well..I knew your name was Marsa and the town you lived in, if the Setorians had that information don’t you think they would’ve come after you by now?” “..I suppose so but that doesn’t mean im going to trust you with my life!”

Marsa stared at the ground for a few seconds, then as her eyes met mine they suddenly widened. “ Behind you!” She yelled. I quickly Unsheathed the sword Leo had given me and spun around. A man in all black clothes, presumably a Setorian assassin, Was running toward me and quickly. I pushed Marsa back and ducked as he made a horizontal slice missing my head only slightly. Not missing my opportunity I used a powerful vertical slice to disarm the assassin. I then drove my forearm into the throat into his assassin, not giving him a chance to regain his balance I impaled the assassin just below the ribs, After pushing in the blade in abit deeper I brought the blade up a full 12 inches before retracting it. The assassin was dead before he hit the ground.

Marsa stood up and made a sweeping motion on her clothes, as if removing dust from them. “ I see you know your way around a weapon.” “ You learn a few things traveling” I calmly replied. I quickly realized the danger we were in. “ Marsa, the Setorians have obviously found us we need to get out of here now”. She nodded her head in agreement. We started to step out of the alley when Marsa pulled me back. “ Do you see those men In the black and red uniforms?” “ yeah what about them”. Marsa sighed heavily “ I see Leo didn’t teach you much, That’s the Setorian uniform we’ll have to avoid them at all costs. “ Trust me those fools are not your primary concern” I turned to see a man standing behind us. It was the man in the sweeping cloak form the crossroads. “Marsa get behind me!” I raised my blade to eye level. I felt a strong presence emanating from the Man. At this point I was not sure of my survival.

Finally, Chapter 4 is up!!.

Very detailed, and as the story keeps going, the more I want to keep reading.

Chapter 5-Stealth

“Lower you weapon fool, Though I can’t say im impressed by Leo’s choice, I have no quarrel with you” The man lowered his hood to reveal a surprisingly young face despite his very gruff voice. I lowered my sword and stood up straight, Marsa seemed very skeptical of the man. “ Who are you and what do you want” I quickly asked. The man smirked. “ Oh, aren’t we the young hero?, The name is Ramon and im here to get you out of here safely” The man’s eyes drifted to the dead assassin.. “ But it seems you’ve been handling it quite well up to this point”. Marsa stepped from behind me and started to question Ramon But he spoke before she could.

“Ah the Angel, Im sure you’ll be wanting proof that im here to tell you” Ramon raised his hand and opened his palm To reveal A blue sword and cross symbol. I leaned toward Marsa and whispered “ What is that he’s showing us?”. Marsa Smiled for the first time since I’d ran into her. “ You can relax, That’s the mark of the Sitorian, It can only be done by a Sitorian specialist.” Ramon waved his hand as if to catch our attention. “ Ok so now that were all friends, Are you ready to get out of here?” Marsa Turned and looked around the corner “ That could be a slight problem” She said lowly.

Ramon and I looked around the corner of the alley. The entire town was now swarming with Setorians. “ Oh that?, Wont be a problem at all.” He said calmly. Ramon motioned for us to come to the back of the alley. In a small crate were 3 Setorian uniforms. “ You wont have a dressing room so I suggest you just put them over your regular clothes”. Once we had on the Setorian uniforms we slowly marched out of the alley in line. Ramon spoke Lowly and softly “ Were heading out of the south entrance, Stay calm, keep a steady pace not too fast or too slow and follow me.” Marsa seemed to get more and more nervous by each Setorian we passed. Ramon came to a stop. “ Look about 50 meters that way, That’s the South entrance keep your heads down, Im going to create a small distraction so that you can leave unnoticed” Ramon then split off from Marsa and I.

Once Ramon was out of sight Marsa and I started walking towards the entrance. As we reached it we noticed 2 Setorians were guarding the entrance. “ State your names and ranks soldiers”. I froze all I could think was “ How could Ramon leave us without information?, He didn’t even tell us there were guards at the entrance!” Then there was a loud explosion that left my ears ringing. 2 more Setorians appeared, One with an injured shoulder. “ Quickly! A Sitorian in the main plaza just took out 2 of our men! Hurry!”. The 4 Setorians took off in the other direction, completely unaware of our presence. “ So much for stealth…”. Marsa and I quietly left the town as if we were never there.
