Super Smash Bros. Brawl Detail Galore!

As the release for Super Smash Bros. Brawl is almost here, for Japan. Impressions and new details have been surfacing. Many of the details were costume changes, new items, new assist trophies, the attacks of characters, final smashes, new mini games, and more! I've decided to put all the details into this article.

I consider these details "spoilers" in some case. So if you don't like the game spoiled, then please click away. But for those who want to look at these details, then I hope you enjoy this article!

Costume colors:
  • Mario: Blue, Brown, Fire-Flower, Green, Wario Colors
  • Link: Red, Blue, Yellow, Dark Link, Purple
  • Kirby: White, Green, Red, Light Blue, Yellow
  • Pikachu: Emerald Bandanna, Goggles, 4 Different Hats
  • Fox: Green, Orange, Light Purple, Dark Fox, White (not confirmed)
  • Samus: Red, Light Blue, White on Red (unconfirmed)
  • Bowser: Undisclosed colors
  • Yoshi: Pink, Blue, Yellow, Red, Light Blue
  • Peach: Red, White, Green, Orchid, Orange
  • Pit: Green, Black Gold
  • Wario: Black, Orange
  • Ike: No one mentions his alt. colors.
  • Diddy: Pink, Yellow, Light Blue, Green, White (unconfirmed)
  • Meta Knight: Orange, Dark Meta Knight, Green, Crimson, White, Kirby Colors
  • Meta Knight has a pink colored costumer as well

Stages:
  • WarioWare stages - Appeal!, Destroy!, Shave!, Cracker/Clacker! (?), Stay Dry!, Dodge!, Jump!, Don’t Move!
  • While playing a mini-game on the WarioWare stage, your damage will decrease slightly if you pass the game.
  • WarioWare stage: 8 minigames including “Don’t Move”.

Music:
  • Music addictions: Animal Crossing Main Theme, Balloon Fight’s Balloon Trip music, WarioWare Main Theme, Yoshi’s Island: “Ending BGM”, “Athletic”, Norfair: “Brinstar BGM”, “Samus’s Theme”, “Metroid Ending Theme”
  • New FE Music: “The Kingdom of Bern”

Items:
  • Sandbag - hit him to knock items out
  • The Soccer Ball item catches fire when used. It cannot be countered or caught.
  • Clock item slows down time, which makes your opponents slower. This lasts for a certain amount of time. You can also get a clock that will screw up, and slow you down instead.
  • Regigigas, Metagross, Onix and Garchomp can come out of a Pokeball. Metagross = Earthquake, Onix = Rock Throw, Regigigas = Crush Grip (this move not confirmed)

Attacks/Character Info:
  • Snake’s Remote Mine can give anywhere from 10-20% damage
  • Kirby’s Dash Move = “Gazer Spiral”
  • Kirby’s Final Smash = roughly 35% damage
  • Lucas’s PK Freeze is more maneuverable than Ness’s PK Flash
  • Snakes’s land mines don’t detonate based on proximity. They are remote controlled.
  • Pit and the Pokemon Trainer talk during their final smash. Pokemon Trainer - “Take That! Triple Finish!”
  • Wario is powerful, but has a lot of start-up lag.
  • Zelda’s Din Fire has been Nerfed a bit
  • Wario's standard special move is the Bite we have seen in various screenshots. Just like Yoshi's standard special, you press the button once to eat them, and then again to spit them out. Projectiles can be eaten by Wario, as seen in one of the videos on the Dojo. If a projectile stays in Wario's mouth, it will be swallowed and then recovers damage. The projectile can be spit back at your opponent is the button is pressed again. If not, Wario eats it.
  • Kirby's dash attack was changed. he no long has the fireball attack and now does some sort of "skull bash" and then spins his body while upside down. It's break-dancing Kirby!

Assist Trophies:
  • Rosalina’s AT: Luna hovers around the board and will toss star bits. These can be used to recover damage. A Luna follows Rosalina around.
  • Pegasus Knight = AT
  • Sothe = AT (somersault kick)

Final Smashes:

Other:
  • When you start a match, the background music is displayed.

Whenever I get more news for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I will post them right away! I will keep you guys up to date!
