Wii Ware dated and 3 games announced
According to VC Reviews, Wii Ware will be arriving soon! The launch date of Wii Ware is set for May 12th, and Nintendo claims there will be a few games available right at launch, and 3 games have been officially announced, though not necessarily for launch.
The first game is one we've known about for quite a while, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King. This game is a simulation game based on the Final Fantasy series, for all ages. It can be accessible by caual gamers, but has a lot of depth for hardcore gamers and sim fans.
The second game is LostWinds. This game is a platformer from UK developer, Frontier. In this interesting game, you play as Enril the wind spirit, trying to protect a young boy.
The final game is not an announced game, but an announced series by Telltale, the creators of the Sam and Max games.
These games look interesting and quite fun, and Wii Ware seems to be a very great addition to the Wii. Below is Nintendo's official press release.
"WiiWare will be a repository for all types of experiences – literally, something for everyone. Early WiiWare games will come from celebrated developers like Square Enix, which is creating FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: My Life as a King, a simulation game for all ages. Also watch for games from up-and-coming developers like Frontier with its fresh, enchanting platform adventure LostWinds and a new episodic game series from Telltale. The first U.S. WiiWare games will be available on May 12."
