Even though Activisions Guitar Hero and soon to come Rock Band is out for the Wii, Nintendo has kept a steady run with the competition as Planet Moon Studios Battle Of The Bands hits store shelves today!!

Most people have thought of this game as a total remake of the breakaway masterpiece Guitar Hero, but most were wrong. The songs, the controls, and even the characters have a whole new feel to them. With songs for any genre such as Rap, Latin, even some for the true Country lovers, the songs will never sound the same as the other or have any similarities whatsoever.

One thing most might be asking: Will you use a guitar? Well the answer is no, and for many reasons. Instead of using the guitar like other games, the Wiimote will be the only thing you use, and already accessed so you wont have to spend a dime extra.

Ever played GH or Rock Band and the character selection was close to lame? Well Battle Of The Bands introduces the create a band function, to let you design your band how you would like.

This game shows some definite possibility and I personally love the way Nintendo is ready to take such extreme risks for a game. What do you guys think? Will you be picking this up?
