Yeah, there was a big push for a Wii cricket game a year or so ago, which resulted in a couple of guys from the Aussie-Nintendo Forums creating the idea of WiiWantCricket. I was kinda a part of it as A-N was used as a hub for the WiiWantCricket forum so I posted in the forums and stuff but in the end the guys just decided it wasn't worth the effort and cancelled the website and the rest of it.
Though surely some company out there has to be thinking about it, although it is quite a niche market so they may not be willing to take the risk. Although Cricket games have been released for consoles before, this is aiming at a specific console (unless they add some gimmicky controls to the next iteration of each cricket series. I would prefer a specialised game but I spose anything is good enough for starters). Anyway, I just hope we at least get something announced from a company that it is in the works. Cricket is one of my favourite past times, watching and playing it, and I think a game that isn't at least half bad would be brilliant. |

you also forgot to put Britain on the cricket fan list, but this wouldn't really be that great news for me. I watched a game of cricket and got so confused on whats going on, it was kind of like Fry watching blurnsball the first time lol. (Any Futurama fans will get that one).
