We heard of Mario Kart Wii for the first time at E3 2007. Reggie Fils-Amie stated that there will be online battle mode and racing, and you will get a free Wii Steering Wheel with the game. In the video shown, you can perform sweet flips when going off ramps, doing one wheelies on a new vehicle, the motorcycle, and the graphics are polished up a bit. Since then no new information or details have been released. Until today!

Kevin Cassidy, owner of the very popular Nintendo blog site GoNintendo writes for a magazine called NMAG. He has been given new details about Mario Kart Wii that many of you will be either very happy about, or very disappointed.

Here are the details:

• Sliding and snaking confirmed
• Baby Peach, Boo to be drivers
• Online battle mode
• 16 new + 16 old courses
• Different vehicles for every driver
• Controls can be compared to Excite Truck

I know it's not a lot of details, but it's good to know more stuff about the game. As for my impressions, I dislike snaking. It's a cheap move in Mario Kart DS that mostly everyone has mastered. But do think about that it will be hard to maneuver it because you will probably have to tilt the Wiimote perfectly to snake. But who knows. Maybe Nintendo has something planned or fixed the controls to make it more difficult to snake. I hope so.
