Reuters is reporting that the Wii sold 331,627 units during the February period in Japan. Thats nearly a 4-to-1 ratio compared to the PS3, which sold 89,131 units, according to Enterbrain, which publishes Famitsu. In January, the Wii outsold the PS3 by roughly 3-to-1.

Contributing to the Wii's success in no small way is the popularity of recent software releases such as Dairantou Smash Brothers X (Super Smash Bros. Brawl in the U.S.), which was the best-selling Japanese software in February with 1.33 million units sold, followed by Wii Fit, which sold 309,311 units. The Xbox 360 also continued its struggles in Japan, selling just 14,079 units.
